Hello, I go by Timaeus and I enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, and Mega Man! I started out doing Mega Man Battle Network / Star Force ROM hacks for about 5 years, and some Mega Man Zero speedruns, but branched out to do Pokemon playthroughs (especially Mystery Dungeon), and now advanced Yu-Gi-Oh gameplay commentary (Duel Links & Master Duel). I also write electronic/atmospheric music on my other channel, "Timaeus's Music".

Honestly, people not reading cards is one of the things that I enjoyed about Constellars in Duel Links. EVERYONE kept forgetting Caduceus was a thing and just charged into any Constellar monster with it as material with light or dark monsters. Too bad my luck is still horrible in this game...

i see you lost to sacred beast as i told you in previous video they are hard against unchained ;-( also 4:40 what do you mean cards up to 2019 dont float?
@@yassinehani well, the problem in that duel was I bricked. I only set 1 monster pass, and I used my skill to shuffle back Disaster to re-draw Disaster anyway, so I had no control over that duel. I could have faced any deck that makes Knightmare Unicorn and the outcome is the same. In essence it was like HEROs opening Increase, Increase, Faris, Plasma. Completely unplayable other than set pass. I mean that most cards around 2019 and before say, "if this face-up card leaves the field by the opponent's card effect" (like Samurai Skull) instead of "opponent's card" (like Mirrorjade). So game mechanics are not included for Samurai Skull. However, if you link summon with Mirrorjade, it does activate to destroy in the End Phase.
Oh, you mean did I use Bomber Dragon or Dingirsu? Bomber Dragon can be Knightmare Phoenix (I was just testing it). Dingirsu would come up when I face a deck like Lunalight that has an untargetable monster.
@@timaeus22222 yes that's right haha sorry my english is not very good but does bomberdragon work in it? and it is better to use on veiler as an extra interuption or better crow. For grafyard effects?
@@gensbxx4197 Yeah, Bomber Dragon can be activated by using Chamber of the Unchained to revive Soul of Disaster, and I just destroy all other monsters (other than Bomber Dragon), but revive my own monster afterwards. For Graveyard effects, you should use Skull Meister to negate them. Veiler is for effects on the field, and in a best case scenario, Crow can only prevent activation.
Against Sacred Beast, you can swap out Veilers for Radian Kaijus, and I would also consider Forbidden Chalice if you see Dweller a lot. As for Skull Meister, you will want to slow down and only destroy a card that you opened two of. To beat the Sacred Beast board, you may want to swap out the Bomber Dragon for Knightmare Phoenix (I was just testing out Bomber Dragon but it hasn't come up) to get rid of Fallen Paradise, and after that the Unchained Soul of Disaster can force out any remaining interactions like Crackdown or Veiler before you commit further into breaking the board.
Oops, regarding the loss, I meant to say that it was due to simply bricking against Sacred Beast (not Super Poly, but that did happen earlier). Not really in my control, unfortunately! In essence I lost to myself. I used the skill to shuffle Disaster back and re-drew Disaster, which should be impossible.
wow very good combos i never thought of the escape into disater combo that is smart, as a side note it's better to put "unchained" into the title of the video so people find it easier, also for pt 2 if you can mention how to play around different meta especially sacred beasts i struggle against them :(
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I didn't face enough Sacred Beast to get a good duel with them, but in part 2 I will show more-involved interactions at least. I also try to keep the tips generic so you can apply them to other matchups.
@@yassinehani in this meta if you dont have veiler/ghost mourner you can just replace it with meister. meister is fine and cheap😉 its stop zombie, borrel, shaddoll and unchained mirror
Thanks for the analysis of each game. I just invested in this deck and am getting cooked. Having a little buyers remorse so it helps to get some gameplay tips.

@@timaeus22222 thanks. I’d say any advice to handle the meta would be helpful. Right now it seems like everyone is playing Sacred Beasts, which seems to hard counter this deck that that field spell of theirs protecting their monsters from targeting. I teched in 3 IDP, but it hasn’t really helped much, especially since not all the sacred beasts are fiend types.
@@mike35424 If you are seeing a lot of Sacred Beast, I have been testing the Radian Kaiju (Fiend and summons in attack position, so it can be recycled and you can crash into it), which should help going 2nd, or you can shuffle it and draw 1 going 1st. Chalice can also help against Dweller in Performage.
Just to be clear, the music is not from... whatever Maximator is. It's a fake claim. P.S. I love that RV versions of some NetNavis give 1 Zenny. The troll factor remains today!
Finally got a chance to watch the whole thing. It really ALTERed my view on the power level of the deck. I feel more in the know of the current meta zeitGEIST. Yes I have no faith in my jokes and feel the need to caps lock them smh great video tho how many more subs till voice reveal?
Really nice deck and even better breakthrough! I'm trying to build an altergeist deck as well, is there anything I can use to replace breakthrough skill and the second copy of marionetter?
The breakthrough skill could maybe be fiendish chains if you have them, or empress staff (which is kinda fine against agents). Empress staff is a free event card which you can get with login SR or bingo SR tickets. Breakthrough Skill is a unique card because it deals with strong monsters twice each, while the deck already deals with backrow well. The second marionetter could maybe be witch of the black forest. Sadly the box chips don't get you them, but the dream tickets can.
@@lenoSVFGG Honestly, altergeist has a good matchup against unchained already, and that deck is the main new threat. The only thing I'd change for now is probably the breakthrough skills can be D.D. Crows. If you Crow the target of Sarama, their turn typically ends unless they hard-open two of the Escape trap. Sacred Beast is not that tough because we probably have Linkuriboh to make the Raviel 0 ATK, and we can use Kunquery to negate the Fallen Paradise.
I kept in mind that if I bounce Kunquery, Crackdown is immediately not negated anymore, so my Silq returns to his field while paying cost. His set was Successor Soul I believe, so I did want to make sure he attacked with 2 monsters first before I bounced it, which means I don't want to negate a 2nd attack with Kunquery. Either way, I was not concerned about him keeping my Silq because his set backrow are more important.
@timaeus22222 Indeed. Either way they still lost. GG Great work showcasing Banshee's ability. I used it against Agents if I go first. Used Banshee to tribute fakker for Kunq to target their Venus.
Thank you! But yeah it is worth keeping in mind that play on Crackdown as it would save me damage, and does leave me with 2 free zones to resolve Multifaker anyway.
@@meofficial7210 perhaps. I think real floodgates can wait, but maybe we can get cards like quaking/storming mirror force and rise to full height, or maybe more copies of Fiend Comedian.
