That is what those fools do at these reining shows and look at how these poor horse run with their nose almost on the ground it is just not like the old way showing reining horses back in the days I will not go to watch reining or western pleasure shows it breaks my heart the way they train these beautiful amanils no wonder they break down so much I think it is all about money
I'm 56 I've been breaking and training and riding horses almost my whole life I think they make them carry their head too low you're right this is not correct
It’s common to hear at reining and western pleasure comps and shows it basically is like cheering and saying “that’s good” so you know the rider’s doing pretty good when they do it like crazy like that❤
@@lindaowens933most reining horses have their heads down low because of breed structure most well bred (A)QHs have their head low naturally which is perfect for reining same with Frisian horses there heads/necks naturally bend a bit inward without rollkur which is nice for dressage riders who don’t wish to train rollkur especially for abuse reasons; so no their heads don’t go super low from training it’s just naturally bred into the breed and most QHs that don’t have it aren’t luxury well breds or are mixed with something else which isn’t bad. To get QHs that are well bred like this you have to spend around 30k-900k+ depending on its lineage so it’s impressive to see these horses in comps or shows as not everyone has that kind of money to purchase these beauties.❤
