Hello Cen, I am glad to find this tutorial, it is very helpful, but I wondered if you could share how to add a train? My bride wants a train and I am not sure about cutting it on a half circular skirt, do you draft it in the same way as a train on a full circular skirt?
hi @annfulcher407 ,when I draft the train of a half-circle skirt, I usually do it freehand. I start by marking the desired length of the train, then from the tip of the train, I freehand the shape, gradually extending it up to the center front fold. It's better to make the skirt a bit extra long, as it's easier to shorten it if needed, especially during the first fitting.
Very good video, thank you! If we want to add some flare or a train to the front pattern, do we use the same method as the first or the second method, which is longer? Thanks heaps!
hi Ameyo! Oh, certainly, yes! Once you learn the basics and foundations of the pattern, you can start experimenting, creating new ways, and even bending the rules you’ve learned.
@@TheSewistbyCen Please guide me on how to add flare to the front. I think my first question was unclear to you. Do we for example, mark 6” at the CF for the width and then add our desired length or the same length as the CB? I need this help as I'm working on my final year graduate collection. Thank you! 🙏 I’m subscribing! 😀
Thank you for this video! May I ask how will I convert this pattern to a 5-6 years old size? I want to make it for my daughter for the upcoming buwan ng wika. Hoping for your kind response.
This is so helpful ❤I really love how u should the process because even I was making my own dress and ur video really acted as guide as I was struggling ❤❤
This gown is so lovely, the lace is delicate and pretty. I used nearly exactly the same lace on a prom gown a few years ago, but it was red. As usual I enjoyed watching you working 😍😍
