Fantastic! One of the the many things I have always loved about The Kinks is the way Ray puts the 'da da da's', and the 'la la la's, and the 'bomp bomp's' in so many of his wonderful stories! Never get enough KINKS!
Ray walked over to the keyboardist. I thought he was going to tell him to pipe down; people hear his brother’s solo. But I think he said “good job for drowning out my brother’s solo.” 😄😄😄
Such lovely lyrics. Fun, lively, youthful, all captured within a somber, calming but almost haunting harmonic progression. British 60s pop at its very best.
@@Russell__Smith hey Russel. Is there more unreleased demo material like this that never made it to a CD? Enough to fill a CD? I know of a few demos circulating on bootlegs but I have never heard this before. And I wonder if Elvis ever got hear this one. The "Never say yes" he recorded is a bit more catchy.
This song is incredible. Despite the fact that I am Uruguayan, and I was only once in London, I am very excited. Ray is the greatest popular music composer of all time.
It’s because....it’s because it makes you FEEL....(and obviously it’s so much more than that but I’ll leave it those better equipped; those who can do justice to this iconic song as they describe why it’s so amazing...good luck to them, too!)
