No question… until you ride on track… you’re a novice. The track will humble just about anyone the first time they go. That said, kudos to him for taking the right steps to becoming an expert. Went to NJMP for a YCRS course, and I’m hooked! I never claim to be the fastest (nor do I care to be), but the experience of riding on a track was one of the best experiences of my life and the coaches/instructors are really great riders who are down-to-earth. If you love to ride, hit up a track near you and I promise you’ll become a much better (and safer) rider. I personally think every rider should attend a track day event event at least once in your life… Ride safe. ✌😎
@EvolveGT thanks for the quick reply. I made an account and was looking for more details. I see you can add street heat to as an addition to an event. Is there any purely street heat event where you can ride a track for $45? I'm not particularly interested in watching events
Pumped to try Street Heat. Does my bike need to be prepped in any special way? Tape up headlights, remove mirrors, safety wire, etc? or is good to go like I ride on the street? I read through the tech inspection points in the riders manual and it looked pretty straight forward.
I was getting ready to start doing some track days with you. I purchased a ready to go 996 on Saturday and had a heart attack on Monday. There is no way my luck can get any worse
That was amazing. I used to do the same thing on the back country roads thinking I was something special. Then I got to the track, and was very humbled very quickly.
That mechanic that dragged this guy out to his first event probably saved his life. That kind of energy is what gets guys killed on the street. Death wish to a healthy hobby, that’s awesome.
Man, it's awesome you guys made this video and truly you guys are the best track day org I've been a member of. I was curious about this track as it's on the calendar for this year and you guys really covered the details very well. Your attention to safety and detail really shows regarding your use of the airbags which I didn't even know about. Definitely planning to come here this year if my schedule allows!
I always thought riding 2-up at the track was an interesting idea. Seems like it would be a tricky sort of full body workout trying to synchronize both riders hanging off the side as much as possible to go really fast in turns.
