I often hear the complaint that the ally screen is too small, but even after seeing the legion go at Micro Center, I was still shocked by how large the ally screen was at Best Buy.
thanks to the ally x I got a ally z1 extreme for just $375USD on ebay and it is in a great condition. the only thing that I feel jelous about the x is that it can be connected a egpu via thunderbolt, instead of the ally that can only be used with tge propietary connector I use my rog ally with linux (void linux + CachyOS for handheldgaminc) as my main pc and even when I can play fine my games in dock mode, I would love to use a egpu for a extra performance
Steam Deck is great, but I love that there is a premium Windows based option. Especially since Value doesn’t the drivers to put Windows on the OLED Deck
2:26 Unfortunately, the battery is not a standard BP-5L battery: the connectors of the RG300 version are in the corner, but a regular BP-5L battery has its connectors in the middle. It's pretty frustrating to find a replacement method...
Interesting chat, on Steam it says I have 1 minute on hl1 lol. If I remember correctly there is a free game/mod that let's you play hl1 stuff in coop. Had a little fun with that. Edit : and I have almost 2 hrs in HL:Source. Safe to say I didn't get far haha. I think I gave up at a platform section

Wow, I appreciate your perspectives but I have to disagree with lots of your takes in this video. I played Half-Life in 1999 on a 200 mhz pentium PC and then again last month for GotM on my Steamdeck. To me, it was a 9.9/10 in 1999, but it is still a solid 8/10 in 2024. I hard disagree with whoever said you have to read the lore to appreciate the game. If anything, reading the lore brought down my appreciation for the game. I like the ambiguous nature of the story, and nailing down details just feels like a chore to me, whereas when playing the game the ambiguity is really intriguing. I can see how you might find dieing a lot to be annoying, but I like difficult games that require you to try difficult parts over and over again. I also don't think it is fair to knock Half-Life for deaths required to learn levels, and then turn around and praise Goldeneye and Quake 2, both of which expect you to die trying to figure out either objectives or enemy encounters as well. I also disagree that localized damage isn't obvious in Half-Life. It isn't as obvious as Goldeneye where the enemies will double over or shake the hand that was shot or anything, but headshots absolutely matter and help tremendously with the dearth of ammo. I do agree that even if you are careful, a few weapons, especially the magnum, don't have enough ammo drops. I also agree with the general consensus that the last couple levels are mediocre, and the last boss fight is just bad, so the game kinda goes out with a wimper. I also enjoy the 3d platforming in this game, but will acknowledge that it is not for everyone, and ladders in particular are annoyingly clumsy. I think this was less of a problem with a mouse and keyboard, but playing it with dual analog sticks sort of highlights the jank.
Thanks for the feedback my friend! I think we kind of knew going in that our opinions were not what the majority thought of the game. It did win several awards after all. I’m looking forward to trying Half-Life 2. I think I’ll like it better.
It's really a feast or famine type of game right? Before doing this, I did a little research and opinion polling to see if maybe I was on an island with what I thought. If you're ever bored, check out the columns people have written on this game. They start at "The game is gold and without flaws" to "I'd rather eat glass than play it" with nothing in between. Don't get me wrong, I too enjoy difficult games. I've played and beaten every souls game imaginable as well most survival horror titles. I guess the main difference is those felt challenging by intention whereas Half life felt difficult because of poor design. OR I could just be terrible at the game. A very real possibility. So the moment I said Quake 2 I had a few visions quickly come to me of the sheer amount of deaths I experienced in that game. Looking back, Quake was a sincerely bad example given where I was going right? But Golden Eye? You may have just inspired me to make a video on that game alone...complete with a replay. If I'm wrong, I owe you a burger. Let me know how you like your burgers.
It’s not a brutal downgrade if it’s literally called a MINI and it’s expected to have some shavings. You expect an iPhone 13 mini to have the same screen and battery as a iPhone 13 Pro? You need to get your expectations in line. On that note it has a “brutal” upgrade in mini led 😊

Didn’t like the ergonomics, I would have liked the analog sticks to be at the bottom because with the current ergonomics setup it would be more for side scroller based games in my opinion
I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. But the plan is for it to be my pocket device. I know it's pricey, and there is cheaper handhelds. But it being so powerful and having the android stand by, in a smaller form factor is very valuable to me. Plus it has the look of a Sony device and the PSP was my favorite handheld growing up, so that plays a part.
Bro I pre ordered bought all accessories hoping the same I was so disappointed almost 270 shipped......luckily I was able to get my hands on this!! Last two weeks has been awesome!
This is definitely a great pocket PS2. I'm even running some games at 1080p with texture packs. I wish it came with 512GB storage, as I'm now limited with the amount of texture packs and apps I can install.
@@Brxin_R I have a 1TB sd card in my Odin 2 mini already. However, Android apps and games install to the internal storage. Which means my texture packs go the internal and I’m pretty much out of storage already.
I am running into some trouble with mine. I followed your guide but all I get is a brightened up blank screen I waited to see if it would go to any screen it just remains on the same blank screen. Any help would be appreciated. I got a 64gb SD card and the CM4 2gb ram with wireless for my retroflag gpi case 2.
