Giga cardia deserves bottom rank, I've never seen a more embarrassingly programed boss fight in a professional game like this. Having the entire fight be "wait for the moment to strik-YOU BLINKED. WAIT ANOTHER 3 MINUTES." In a physics based game is awful, and the devs clearly ran out of ideas very early on and thought 'what if the boss just throws a bunch of unavoidable untelegraphed bullshit. Triumvirate was so fun and I wish I could refight king birder but giga cardia was embarrassingly bad
I remember when I played Twilight Princess for the first time when I was little and when we had our first encounter with Zant, my heart sank into my stomach! But it’s more disturbing when you keep in mind that Link has no idea that malicious figure is Zant so you think “No wonder he was scared stiff!” So I’ve always wondered if that scene would be more, less, or the same amount of disturbing if we, the player, had no idea that was Zant and we didn’t see him in any flashbacks or anything and we just heard about him the way that Link did 🤔
Great point! The timing was really cool to me. The fact Link is getting some major victories, his friends are safe, he gains confidence and then just gets dropped and Midna gets injured. Especially because Midna only ever seemed to have the answers to everything prior to this
Cool video, plus tracks of secret of mana (French name of the game), metroid and all on top of it brings memories back, I think I will play some of them again soon. 😅
Solid vid! I remember when I first found out that the lady I was supposed to be rescuing turned out to be Blind, I was totally shocked. I think the shift between the light and dark worlds in games that have them are the most unsettling to me, whether it be Lorule, or the future in OoT. They're always darker in a fun way. I'm looking forward to the next video! I'd love to see a video about Mega Man. That would be sick
I’ll always have a soft spot for the first season and a half of MMPR until Jason, Zack, and Trini left. Loved the last part of Zeo with Jason as gold. In Space rules. I also like Wild Force, Ninja Storm, and Dino Thunder. I haven’t watched many newer series in full though. But I also really like older super sentai and showa kamen rider. I don’t know why, but I really dig the old school stuff.
The water temple is my favorite water temple in the entire series with OOT right behind it. But I agree with morpheel. He was so amazing the first time and the only time I ever took damage was the first time the game released. To easy
Gameplay aspects wise 3 is my fav of the 8 bit ones but god is it infuriating to play by second half Did you know the famicom version had a better soubdchip? Check out the famicom ost, it got p cool basslines Second most impressive famicom ost after Megami Tensei II
I literally forget medusa is a boss in the game until I replay. I swear Rondo‘s Medusa summon by Shaft is the only hard Medusa in pre PS1 era Did you know that in the super famicom version the goop in the dungeon stage is blood by the way? Same for dripping on title screen I also always felt the Dracula battle is too easy here
@@TeejHero Anything the Macbeth train engineer says. My favorite being: “what’s wrong? Come a little closerrrr!” Also, still engaging with commenters 8 years later? You’re a mensch!
Me when baz was in one of the last places: meh Me when REIZE was in one of the last places: what the actual fu- Me when phanto was in one of the wayyyy better places: woah alright lets do a 180 here Me when king knight was in the first places: the fucking hell
Man, I disagree almost completely with you. Mine: - The New Blood - Jason X pre-Uber - The Final Chapter - Jason Goes To Hell - Remake sackmask - Jason Takes Manhattan (the face sucks but the pre-unmasking look is cool) - Freddy vs. Jason - Part 5 Dream Jason - Remake hockey mask look - Jason Lives - Part 3 - Part 2 - Uber Jason
@@TeejHero Largely yes, except for the Mr. Fix-It Jason from Jason Lives. In particular I prefer the early New Line Jasons - I think New Line got worse at designing Jason as they went on. My ideal Jason would have the physique of Jason X, the skin texture of Part 7, the clothes of Freddy vs. Jason and the mask from Part 9.
Great video! My personal favorite (when I played way back) was Stallord, but I can't disagree with these rankings! While certainly not the most challenging roster of bosses, easily my most memorable Zelda boss lineup for amazing boss design, sheer cinematic joy, killer soundtrack, and use of temple weapons
