These were definitely the best and yet the real "green" weed eaters made on the market back in the 80s or 90s. Im surprised that this thing still is in perfect running condition after all these years. I think I remember having a GTI 15T, which looks somewhat similar to this one. They are far much better than the Troy Bilt or Craftsman junk today. I worked at the power equipment and small engine repair shop prior to shutting down in 2024, and never saw one vintage Weed Eater trimmer in the scrap pile as they were and are still the best trimmers, and I hardly ever see one vintage Weed Eater trimmer in the landfill or scrap pile because they were the most durable, robust and yet serviceable machines. One thing that you have to be careful with is the ethanol content in gasoline since it will slowly cause engine problems. I wish Weed Eater company still made these trimmers today, but now Husqvarna owns Weed Eater brand (sadly). I am using my STIHL FS94 R trimmer, had some issues with it, and now I wish I had my GTI 15T fixed instead of throwing it out.
