There is a gentleman in Germany who has invented a device called the Watercone (can be found via internet search). His device was tested in Yemen and can be used where there is contaminated water to obtain safe fresh water to drink/use.
How can I help this woman and her village/area? Sounds like at least they need some safe water filter to help wirh safe water? Perhaps a Katdyn filter like the Red Cross uses. That she could share to help others get safe water?
Regardless of the government system within a country, the massive corporations know how to game each one. Giving them substantial additional power. With the Global South and other developing countries, these corporations, via the World Bank and the IMF, keep these countries indebted, especially after disasters strike and money is needed. The debt is one more method of control.

There is an interesting discussion here, but it appears that the discussion is trying to demonise the NbS concept due to the lack of integrity in the field application. All those problems discussed have nothing to do with the concept of NbS; rather, they are all issues related to implementation problems and matters of integrity. The NbS concept guidelines clearly state that this is not a substitute for decarbonization and cannot be used as a biodiversity offset. The discussion talks only about problems, but no solutions are offered. This group should inform the public about the best option for decarbonization and how to implement it.
