You might try to walk barefoot in the same field. The remains of the corn are like swords on your feet, so, if you think about dogs' paws, they have a big amount of extremely thin and delicate tissue/skin between their toes and it can be cutted easily by such sharp pieces...
I dislike the video due to my aggravation of not understanding what happened and then being forced to wait for a part 2 because the content creator left a link that doesn't link.

I know a guy who lost his dog after it got impaled in the neck by a broken off, fallen tree branch while it was chasing a deer through the woods. Sad story man. Glad this dog is alright.
Ah, memories. We had those molded PVC plastic masks with the face painted on them. Couldn't see through the eye holes, the nose holes were fairly pointless, and we tried our best to stick our tongue through that tiny little mouth slit, but really couldn't.
