I had met a Division Chief on my honeymoon in Bermuda. He hooked me up to do a ridealong weekend with 9 Battalion out of their quarters on 48th and 8th.
Surprised to see South Amboy's Mack out, I thought they replaced her with a 2023 E-One recently. Nice to see her getting some use still though. It's a unique engine and it'll be a sad day when she goes OOS for the last time.
Might have been better to shutdown half the road and run 2 emergency lanes with 2 normal lanes for a few blocks, exclusive lanes would give space for the tankers to line up. Either that or have several different return routes to prevent road overload?
BLUE LIGHTS HUH? Where I'm from we don't have Blue Lights on any of our older Fire Vehicles, but our newer ones do have a single Blue Light in the back though. At 2:20 is that an unmarked Police Vehicle?
If they knew they were going to have to establish a tender shuttle, should have had at least a center or right lane designated for the apparatus to get the water to the scene faster and easier with ease and not have to be tied up.
