Umahi is the Minister for Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway. Till he finishes that project, nobody should expect him to pay attention to other roads in Nigeria.
Are you surprised? I wasn't because it was very clear that Umahi is in bed with them. The same thing Rotimi Amaechi did with the standard gauge rail is what Umahi is trying to replicate. The FG is constructing the Badagry - Agbara Road using this same Tax Credit and it has not stopped for once but Umahi has stopped the Enugu - Onitsha Expressway citing all manners of excuses. The same way he has stopped the continuation of the ancillary roads linking the 2nd Niger Bridge while all other road construction in other regions are still ongoing even with an upward review of the contract sum. Maybe, since Peter Obi is from Anambra, they will play politics with any infrastructure that is to benefit Anambra. One thing is very certain, who God has blessed, no man can curse. Even if the Badagry - Sokoto Super Highway spurs to Ebonyi like the Lagos -. Calabar Coastal Highway, Anambra will continue to exist. Umahi did this same thing with Landmark. After destroying a fellow Igbo man's means of livelihood, he reverted back to the original plan. When they want to play the politics of vendetta, one Igbo man will make himself a willing tool to be used.
You guys should leave Umahi alone. He knows what he is doing. He is neither the President nor the Vice President. He has to first gain the trust of his masters by first fulfilling their interests before he addresses his own interests. Our people didnt help matters by not only only not giving the President even one percent of the votes that won him the election but questing to humiliate him in the process. If he doesn't take time, he'll end up like Ameachi that built New standard gauge Rail line from Lagos to Niger Republic, (another country) but built NONE in the East (where he comes from) in the bid to sway the North/West in general and Buhari in particular to make him president.Today he's become irrelevant. In Nigeria, if he doesn't know for him to be taken seriously, you MUST have strong support from your region 1st. So if he continues like this and has little or no road project to show SE/SS. We Igbos need to stop complaining about marginalisation. Nobody cares if we are marginalised is because we allow ourselves to be. Nobody is going to gives fairness and equity on a silver platter. Umahi the Works Minister, is doing his best but Thiefinubu is not releasing enough funds for ongoing projects to run smoothly. I guess MTN is having dispute with their contractors RCC, so Umahi's hands are tied in moving the project forward without an injection of funds from Thiefinubu but I hear his starving ministries of money they need.

Umahi singlehandedly removed it,he said that he did it so that they can speed up the work.. Since then till now,no progress,as i speak now.rcc has virtually evacuated there equipment,u can visit there yard and see it by urself. Am not saying for u to believe me 💯,but am talking with fact.
The way Nigerian leaders think is so backward and baffling at the same time.If federal government spend the 15 trillion naira sokoto badagary is going to cost on reconstructing all deplorable federal roads,both Tinubu and umahi would write their names in gold.But instead they decided the best thing to do is start another highway without renovating existing ones.😅
The new coastal highways are not being paid with 15 Trillion cash up front. It is paid partially may be even in arrears to the contractor over 8 years and once completed contractors would use tolling to recover the rest of the project price.

Why do you wailers always push the blame to State governors instead of facing the real evil called the Dederal government. Is it not Federal government that denied the States the right to control their resources snd mine their own minetal resources? If the States are independent, they wil be rich enough to fix their own minimum wages, build their own roads and also secure their own land from criminals. After giving States peanuts, you're still expecting them to pay salaries out of it and still build federal roads. Who does that? Not all States are making extra income from 13% oil derivation. A lot of work to do and your president is vacationing in the UK. Tells you what he thinks about his country and the roads. He should go and drive this roundabout and the bad roads that lead in and out of it if it is so good. I understand though. This is good for Nigerians but not for people like him and his family who are more European than Nigerian. They laugh at you guys as you will never believe.
Bad engineering. Grade the road so that water will runoff with the sand and, provide adequate drainage. The road should be dry at all times for safety reasons as well. Bad, bad, bad engineering and road construction. Also, sweep the road. These are job creation opportunities, instead of people walking around and complaining about government. Do you guys have intelligent people living there? My guess is that everybody is driving Okada, instead of going to school and learning how to build things.

Uga road went bad cos of the negligence that always cause the 1000 site of erosion in anambra. I have said this many times,there is nothing like 1000 erosion site in anambra,what we have in anambra is negligence,that accumulated over the years
It is not just the walk ways that are deteriorating but the edges of the road has started developing potholes at various points. I doubt if this road would last 4 years before it would require to be reconstructed again. More videos like this showing things that could be improved is welcome. You also should consider showcasing key roads that require urgent govt attention from time to time.
