Can't wait to hopefully get the new wheels I've had the v2 now for about 2 years with over 150miles on them and I love them honestly been the best wheels out there. Will be making a real customer review soon
These wheels work very bad on street bricks when there is a space between them. They literally catch all spaces between bricks and jerk a board behind you because of cone shape. The wheels are intended only for good pavement.
I don't know if this is a scam or a misunderstanding but after so many years of waiting this product i didn't receive it yet (pre order sale). Doug didn't respond to my mail's any more. I will comes again to this post for more
These might have to be my next set of wheels when I can afford it and do an indepth write up compared to the boosted clones, because damn I love those wheels (except for the debris it seems to kick up into my belts/pulleys).
Dude! you're so genius! The first adjustable airless flat proof wheel ever made except atv pneumatics with slime inside which is heavier and higher center of gravity. I wanna get these! Lightweight agile nimble smooth and lower!
Hey Doug, I’m about to buy a pair of hollow wheels for the wave Riot. My questions is do I need to buy any additional pulleys or belts? Or can I just use the stock ones?
I stripped my axel nut and indented the plastic core using this method, and I still couldn't get the pulley all the way in. Admittedly, it was using the omni pulley.
But it still shouldn't do this. I think your tolerances are slightly too tight. It went in smoothly the first 1/4 the way then went real tight, thought it might just pop in. But no. Striped nut. Hehe, but no, seriously, now I have damaged the core. Is it worth just buying the abec set? And I know I stuffed up cause you guys sell both kegal and abec together as one set.
What is the difference between Comfort and Pro? I see no physical difference. On the website it does not say that the pro has R compound from slick tired so I would need confirmation before ordering. Looking for range and speed, thanks!
I have a Zeus pro, rode with no suspension inserts and the board felt a little too responsive and twitchy. Also letting off the throttle caused the board to slow too quick and felt like I had to be very cautious. Filled every other hole with the pins and rode for 14 miles. Love the calmer accel and decel, the board feels more stable under my feet as well. And the coast is good, I think it all depends on your ride style for how many inserts to install. I think all off them would be make the board sluggish.
I have a question for ya Doug - how do ya get the little fuckers back out again ? I've tested with zero weights and full weights in all wheels - I now wanna reduce some pins to find the perfect balance of grip and rolling resistance - I'll up some footage within the next week as I'm pushing them hard - Top Marks to you for getting these developed, produced, manufactured and finally, Available ! 11 / 10 is your score ;)
Ok so it’s pretty easy actually. Hold it so you can squeeze it in your hand and have the pin that you want to remove in the middle between the palm of your hand and your fingers squeeze together really hard and with your fingernail pop out the pin. Comes out really easy
@@georgelaxton I don’t think my finger strength is grippy enough. I keep slipping off. Also, when the pins are deep inside the holes, I can’t see a way for them to come out.
@@capcom4eva I have tried both. The ownboard tires are more comfortable. The pro version is not meant to prioritize comfort, but grip. If you were going for comfort, get the standard version of hollow wheel.
I never got to try these and I probably never will unfortunately due to the horrible customer experience with Doug and Momemtum. I started by ordering pulleys which took over a month every time simply bc of oversight. I placed my hollow wheels order in Dec 2021 and was given an estimated timeline of 4/5 months and here we are in Sep 2022 and still nowhere in sight. Momentum has consistently missed every single estimate they provided. When I asked for an update and explanation what I got was an unsolicited refund. I don’t know how the wheels will turn out but if customer service is any indication I don’t have high expectations. Too bad they don’t know how to correct course. Ps. The pulleys were the worst 3d prints I’ve ever bought. I returned them
No joke, I wish there was a little more transparency than one update a month only to say “Wheels delayed again, because X reason isn’t moving them. New estimated time is next month” rinse and repeat. It’s been that way the entirety of 2022 and I’m worried I won’t even have a chance to ride on them with winter fast approaching.
@@simpleplan100687 and if you dare complain you’ll get an unsolicited cancellation of your order. Many a business has failed this way. Over promise and under deliver.
a bit exaggerated in my opinion...I mean I know they're good as I know the concept and what they are capable of doing however there is no way they can handle that type of terrain :))) however, I'm sure that for normal pavement rods were your biggest enemy ar pot hols and cracks they will do the job just fine
@@esk8unity Yeah man I just find it hard to believe that you did not feel anything like your feet hearting or something I'm saying if they can compare to what you get with some pneumatics are at least half of that
Hey, very interesting product. Would love to test them. Could you tell me how do they perform in matter of range? I own a budget board (365Wh) with dual motor 760W (TYNEE Ultra) and I don't really want to cut more rage than the cloudwheels do. Which should I buy?
The design is too complicated, and no way I'm buying a wheel that comes apart in pieces. Not a fan of the 2 piece wheel design that separates nor the adjustable insert. K. I. S. S..... make this wheel all solid and only one piece, with the hollow tech permanently inside and just sell different stiffness versions. Also, make it in RED and I will buy it.
