We love getting to hear the in depth details of how South 23rd got started and sourced materials. This podcast is really filling a void when it comes to small business and what it takes to succeed.
We always love watching your podcast. Keep it up! We will be in Kernersville this weekend for the Artisan Craft Maket and will have to check out Kyle’s coffee!
What is to give light must endure burning." - Viktor Frankl .. What a great interview with great insight. Certainly most people start a business to make money. It has to at least be somewhat profitable. When Charlie Snow put a roof over the alley way I'm thinking it wasn't so people could come together. But come together they did. Fast forward. "Fitz" knowingly or unknowingly has kept an ole soul alive. It has taken a gut punch in the past month. But you can see out of the ashes the Phoenix is rising. That and some of Charlies Snows cigarettes he would lay on the counter while he cooked your hamburger. The souls that have passed on like April mentioned, the ones that have had lunch elbow to elbow in that alley way. You can't see them , but they are right there still... If you listen very carefully...you can hear them. Words of encouragement. "We can do this"... Prayers to all involved... look forward to hearing... ORDER UP ! love ya wm
It’s ironic…Lamar moved from south Louisiana to Kernersville to be near his daughter. I moved from Kernersville to south Louisiana (Denham Springs) to be near my son, who was raised in Kernersville. My son met a ‘Cajun’ gal when he was stationed at Ft Polk (now Ft Johnson), fell in love and married her. I sure miss Kernersville…having lived there almost 40 years. Great podcast…and I was a classmate of Julia Brown, we graduated from East Forsyth together.
My fitness instructor is Damian Fisher of Fisher Fitness Training on Church St in Kernersville. Would love to see you interview him as he has an interesting story.....came from Jamaica after high school and was Mr. North Carolina in body building and has been a personal trainer for over 20 yrs.
