I drove my dad’s Vogue for the first time just after I had passed my driving test aged 19. It was such a big , heavy car that my speed was slow and respectful. I got stopped by the police who asked me what I was doing because of my speed. They told me to drive something smaller and let me go. I still drive big cars, years later and my choice of smaller cars have been an MGBGT and Triumph TR6.

I wonder if this Anglia was purchased new by my father? Was the first owner's name 'A J Paterson' by any chance? He bought one of the first Anglia's into NZ from the Khyber Pass Branch of the main Auckland Ford dealership by the name of 'John W Andrew and Sons' - and this was the exact colour and trim combination he bought. I recall him flooring it along the northbound motorway between Papatoetoe and Mount Wellington to see how fast it could go - 73mph !

Sadly the greens have banned all combustion cars from European roads from 2030 on in Germany they even reduced gas stations to only one per city from 2025 on now they ar trying to forbid trade with used combustion cars and classics :-(
oh my god its beautiful. I have the same model, Colour pretty much identical. I just inherited it from my grandfather he has had it since new. any chance you have pics or video of the interior and under the bonnet ?
