The bezel of S10 looks similar to my SE2 so I don’t really feel bothered. But I’ve seen S7-E9 had extremely thin bezel so if you really get used to that, S10 is supposed to feel weird.
I just bought the Gold SS Series 10. I've had it 3 weeks and it's barely left my house. Very light use. Yet... the 9:00 side of the case, as in the side pointing up toward my arm and elbow, is already severely scratched. I have no idea how this could have even happened. That particular side of the watch is probably the least likely section of the watch to make contact with external objects. I cannot figure out how the watch could have become so scratched in such a short amount of time. I'm baffled.
Somebody telling it like it is about the bezels! Nice graphics: 1:13. Probably they put the bigger bezels in on the 10 so they can announce smaller bezels in the Series 11. I'm sticking with my titanium Series 7 for another year. Maybe 2 years. We can anticipate that the 11 or the 12 will get a 3nm SiP, and that could finally get the watch to 24-hour battery life.
Trying to decide on my first Apple watch narrowed down to Ultra 2 black or the series 10 wanna also use it for golf distances... not very tech savy i am 59 with possible sleep apnea so the health features are important i am in Canada not rough with my watches just walking / golfing / light band resistance training which watch do you think would suit my needs ? thx a bunch and great video
just ordered that beautiful watchband! Looks good in the video but I hope the polished silver doesnt clash too badly with my natural titanium in real life!
Set up sleep schedule in your health app and the Apple Watch will go into sleep mode for the night automatically at a specified time. You absolutely can not call or text anyone in this mode, the most you can do when it’s on is glance at the super large very dim time.
Totally agree, I’m a bit disappointed that they have stopped the stainless steel version, NaturalTitanium just doesn’t look as good! Only way to get a Silver Titanium is to go for the Hermès Edition :(
I was so impressed with the band. I feel like I need to buy the stainless steel version just for th8s band. I would highly appreciate you if you could do different combinations between gloss black, titanium with all your available bands. Awesome detailed review
@@BuckleAndBand I am not able to figure out if your balck stainless band goes with new gloss balck Apple 10 42mm watch, similarly your stainless steel band on new natural titanium Apple 10 42mm and your gold band on new rose gold Apple Watch 10. I would appreciate if you could do a video in natural light to show this or upload pics on website with new models 👍🏻
I have the Series 7 Titanium and I’ll keep it until it breaks. It’s still at 94% battery health and can get me almost 36 hours of light use. What bothers me more is Apple will offer only $105 trade in value for the Series 7 whether it’s Aluminum or the Titanium. I paid $350 more for this watch at the time and it’s now only worth what the Aluminum goes for?! No thanks!
Nice mention in they :) Great review. Madness that the bezel is bigger on the series 10! I have gone from the series 4 and wanted the series 10 but ended up with the Ultra 2. The series 10 looks the same as my series 4, wanted something different to look at and the battery of the Ultra 2 is a game changer for me.
The black bezel is slightly thicker, but the titanium or aluminum frame has become thinner. There are comparisons where you can see that both together have remained the same thickness compared to the previous model. Only the ratio between the black frame and the metal frame has changed. As far as the size of the visible display is concerned, there is also a comparison. Compared to the Ultra 2, you can only see very little more. Compared to the previous version, it's already noticeably more. You can see this in the weather app, for example, where there is more of a cloud in the bottom line. It also fits more text on the display for news because it is now wider. But you can't expect any miracles with these sizes. The leap from one generation to the next is rarely big. Many simply expected more from the 10. For people who have a watch 5 or older, the jump should still be worth it.
@@BuckleAndBand I don't like the thicker black bezel either and I wish Apple had kept the old bezel-to-frame ratio. But we can assume that the screen will now grow from generation to generation. Give Apple another 10 years and the screen will reach the edge of the metal frame 😉
Had the Series 4 until last week, upgraded to the Series 10, felt like a significant upgrade to me. The always-on display and the bigger screen area are really useful. Double-tap it's fun to try it out, but I actually never used it to do something productive.
I also prefer the more long and lean rectangle look of series 7-9 compared to the rounded square of the 10. And the pleasant weight of steel to titanium as well
finally!!! someone who mentions the bezel man, I've upgraded from the 7 as well and I can say, it does feel like a slight downgrade in some ways... Very awkward move by apple on this one.
Just a quick one @buckle&Band, I see you've put "HONEST" in caps within your video title. Do you need to do that? I mean, we'd assume what you're saying is 'honest' based on what's in your video. So can you clarify, do you REALLY need to state it in the title or, are you just doing that for the RU-vid algorithm so you get more views. I'm just curious!
Hi There, thank you for the comment, we put "honest" in caps because we wanted to emphasise that this video isn't a paid biased add that you see some youtubers do, like when they get sent a product and say its great to get paid even when the product has flaws. We didn't get asked or paid to make this video from Apple so we made sure that the audience knows this by putting the "honest" in caps. Hope this clears it up for you! Thank you!
how do you manage to get that much of battery life, on my series 10 if i almost turn everything off i still barely get 18 hours, are you using AOD and LIVE ACTIVITIES
yep, big agree with your bezel point. The thinness is super nice and comfortable but bezels and the squarish look throw me off. Sticking with my 9 until they push out the screen a bit. Would be nice to get regular silver finish with non Hermes as well.
I also have the Series 7 in stainless steel and was planning to upgrade. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've watched over 100 reviews for the Series 10, but this review is the only one that made me decide not to go for it. I also find the bezels on the Series 10 are huge, and it's noticeable as soon as you hold it! No other reviewer has mentioned this, and I was surprised when I tried it on at the Apple Store. It actually feels like a downgrade, and the slightly rounded corners make it feel more like a knock-off Apple Watch than the real deal! Thanks, mate-you've gained a subscriber.
Hi, Thank you for the kind words and for subscribing! I totally get where you’re coming from. I was excited for the Series 10 until I saw it in person. The bezels really threw me off as well. It’s surprising more reviewers aren’t talking about it, because they’re definitely noticeable and make it feel less sleek than expected. I didn’t love the rounded corners either; they just don’t have that sharp, premium feel that the older models had. Honestly, I felt the same way, a downgrade in design. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed this!
Getting the series 9 as it is the last generation of stainless steel, and thinner bezel too. I had series 10 for a few days. I found It to be bit weird in proportions and it is getting too thin that the Digital Crown sometimes stuck on my skin causing difficulties to turn it on my wrist😂
Hi, Thank you for your comment! Yeah good choice with getting the series 9 instead, We have no problems with it whereas the series 10 is throwing me off a bit!
Do what I do when I wear mine at night. Go into the control centre and press the icon with the two masks. Its known as theatre mode and it turns off the display for sleeping etc
I ended up trading in my Space Black brushed Titanium Series 7 Edition Apple Watch for the Slate Titanium Series 10 46mm (because it still works with all of my larger watch straps) and it is now my "fancy" Apple Watch. I still sport a Apple Watch Ultra gen 1 as my daily watch but since it's Rosh Hashanah and we are coming in to the High Holidays season, I wanted something a little fancier and dressy (plus have some work functions coming up). I loved my Series 7 but the battery just couldn't last a whole day anymore. I also went with the Slate Stainless Steel Milanese strap because my local Apple Store didn't have the new Titanium Milanese with the new clasp in Slate in stock yet.
@@BuckleAndBand I don’t really notice the bezels actually. I think it’s because I didn’t wear my Series 7 all that much after getting the Ultra. And I find the Series 10 & Ultral bezels are about the same. But I am loving how the series 10 feels under a collar work shirt. I’m no longer struggling to get my watch out from under my cuff to check a notification. I think I still preferred the brushed titanium over the polished titanium. Polished is still showing fingerprints while the brushed titanium of the 7 never showed any. I am hoping though the Slate especially with that new coating will ensure it prevents scratches. I’m still happy I upgraded. 2 more years of AppleCare+ and great battery life so far.
