I have been so down on myself lately bc I've been studying copywriting and I've bought several courses .I'm still not a copywriter. Everything you said about not having to go to college ,opened my eyes. I've always felt less than because I do not have that education. I am about to accept a job I do not want because we need another income to pay all the bills. I will double down on studying now. Thank you for your supportive video.❤
Hi, Sarah! Read "Bet on Yourself" twice through. Congratulations on an awesome first book! Please consider an audiobook version. I commute 90 minutes to work each day. Listening to you in person would take your message to a whole new level. That's why we love your videos! I'm ready to buy!
In my opinion copywriting is the best job in the world in these present and uncertain times. So this is the best recession proof business in the present days.
You're so welcome! Just continue taking one step at a time. You got this! If you ever experience writer's block, this video can help - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UrudPON_QwY.htmlsi=S-Eez0zrmbewdtCA
My expertise is in copywriting, which is sales writing. This can include blogs, email campaigns, social media ads, writing for websites, and much more. This is different from content writing. Content writing just shares information. But copywriting always has the goal of getting the reader to do something. This can be signing up for a newsletter, giving an email address, or buying a product. Good copywriters can have a huge impact on their clients' businesses. They can get more traffic to their websites, increase sales, expand their reach to more customers, and much more. :)
This is awesome! I absolutely LOVE her testimony. I can hear the Words of God all through this; planting seeds, casting your net, speaking on fear. I am really in awe! Talk about an answered prayer. So glad I opened my email to see this link today. I really needed to hear this in this season. Thank you!
Love this post! Thank you so much for sharing your new book! Congratulations 🎊 You are so inspiring for sensitive women who want more for themselves and their families ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed this! Thank you for watching! It's so important to me that everyone knows what opportunities are out there and the life they truly want is possible 😊
Hey Sarah, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging videos and thumbnails which will help your video to reach to a wider audience and increase your subscribers and viewers. Can we discuss about it ?
One thing that keeps coming up in my neurotic mind is … what about saturation like- are there going to be so many of us soon that we can’t get a good gig?
Every single business with an online presence needs copywriters. That's everything from small Etsy shops to doctors, construction companies, beauty products, yoga studios, hair salons, online coaches, course creators, etc. A lot of businesses can't afford to hire a marketing team or even an experienced freelance copywriter with years in the biz. So even when you're first starting out, there are clients who will benefit from your writing. As you grow and gain experience, you can go after bigger clients. No matter where you are in your copywriting journey there are plenty of clients who would be happy to work with you. And you only need a few good clients to earn a great income. :)
This is going to depend on the product or service and the kind of audience you're writing for. Short-form sales pages can be below 1,200 words. Generally, products or services over $1,000 will be around 4,000 words.
There's really no one right answer here. I recommend for just about any copywriting project to keep your secret hourly rate in mind. I go over how to do that in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rvoyPDgFzjo.htmlsi=f5XPmCADj7dHcH2c
I personally feel that copywriting is the best career option in the present generation as copywriting is really timeless as it is salesmanship in print.
Hi Sarah. I reached out to you over 6 months ago. You probably dont renember me. I want so much to work from home on my own time. That I know for fact. You see I've been sick most of my life. I'm 59 years old and not been able to do much with my life because my health goes up and down so much, and in the last 5 years I've become slowly more sick. Why I say rhis to you is because I want, and need the extra income. Im not doing well financially and getting more nervous each passing day. Now im in dialysis teicea week and don't where to start. Do you think someone like myself could start something at home? Thanks Sarah.
Absolutely! Many of my students turned to copywriting because their health struggles made it difficult for them to work a 9-5. With freelance copywriting you're able to set your own hours and work from anywhere.
@@SarahTurnerAgencyhello Sarah a friend of mine is currently capped at 25k a month as a freelancing copywriter . In your opinion what could be done. To break that 25k income threshold without sacrificing more of their personal time. Should they do seo/build funnels etc as supplementary to their business I’d love to hear your feedback. Thank you.
I'm at the beginning stages and frankly, I'm terrified. After over 30 years in a high stress career, I walked away in April to save myself from mental burnout, anxiety and breakdown. Now I'm facing a new stress but its either sink or swim... and failing isn't an option. Thank you for all your wonderful wealth of information.
You're so welcome. :) Remember to take this one step at a time. You truly have access to everything you need to reach your goals and enjoy what you do every day. You got this!
Hey Sarah, I know this video is 2 years old but I've just found out about your channel today. Just wanted to say thank you, not just for the useful information you provided in this video, but also for the encouraging message at the end, I really needed this. Thank you so much. All the best to you!
Hey, Sarah. Here is my main problem, I think. Where the heck can I read "GOOD" blogs? I feel like I don't know what a "good" one is. And I am a student in your course, by the way. Any suggestions on who to read to see good examples of copy? Thanks.
LinkedIn is a great place to network and find clients for so many different kinds of businesses! I'd definitely give it a try and see if it works for you 😊
Hey Sarah, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging videos and thumbnails which will help your video to reach to a wider audience and increase your subscribers and viewers.
@@SarahTurnerAgency its Ok . No Problem but i think your video is needed to be more engaging for your audience. I suggest you to level up your ediitng style that helps to engaged your viewre longer. But if you want to see how we do editing for our previous happy creators. I would be happy to check you out.
the caveat is if you can't pay for the course to begin with hahaha howwww do we even start? and what if we don't land clients and invested all this money? I know this is a "lack" mentality but it feels like an ouroboros situation sometimes. I realize you have free initial sessions but the minimum here is $400 to really get the goods in how to create this lifestyle. it's all very disheartening. I don't feel inspired I feel like I'm running in place forever. I hate having to struggle to live and feeling like I can't afford to thrive or live on my own, or care for the animals that depend on me. I was smart enough not to have children but these beings are my children, and take up so much of my day and finances.... and forget my own groceries, will need eBT eventually. also getting an editor to begin with? I can't fathom how this is a thing when you're financially strapped. what even is that?? we have to pay someone else? im laugh crying at the concept. I'm not trying to isssh on the program, but I had to let this out. anyway congrats becky, your ex is a jerk and I hope he gets what's coming to him.
Starting with just one tiny step at a time can take you so far. Copywriting has helped thousands of my students thrive who were once struggling. Mindset does play a huge role in this process, which is why I talk about it so much. Strengthening my mindset was a game changer for me. If you haven't already, I definitely recommend checking out my free masterclass to get started. I hear from people all the time who have built their copywriting business by taking the steps I share here. You got this! go.writeyourwaytofreedom.co/training
There are so many possibilities when it comes to building a business around what you already know and/or are passionate about. Just take one step at a time!
I totally understand your concerns. I don't see AI tools being able to replace copywriters the way I teach copywriting. And I think that's an important distinction to make. I teach my students how to be so much more than copywriters. They become copy engineers. And those are not going to be replaced anytime soon. I also show my students how to go after high-end clients. These clients are too busy running their businesses to write their own copy. Which means they're also too busy to learn how to use AI programs to create their own copy. Are the number of jobs in content writing declining? Yes. I do see AI replacing people who are doing low-quality, low-paying content on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr. But those are the types of jobs I would never recommend you going after anyway. I actually think AI is a wonderful tool for copywriters to speed up their work. It'll help you brainstorm ideas, flesh out outlines, and things like that. Keep in mind, this career is always about increasing your skill set and staying adaptable. Because the world of digital marketing has always been shifting. This is just yet another example of how that happens.
Georgettes interview proves that age is just numbers when it comes to copywriting as copywriting is really timeless classic job. Speaking of political copywriter i personally feel that the speeches delivered by the politicians are basically copywriting where they are influencing the decisions of the masses with their campaigns.
Sarah! you are such a rock star! Your lessons are such wisdom for me! I am a newbie in your program, almost 5 months now and your encouragement never gets old! I'm learning to take this copywriting business in stride, not compare myself to others and just go at my own pace. This process has been the most enjoyable business building that I have been apart thus far. Thank you for your passion to remind people like me that this entrepreneur journey is attainable!! ❤

Thanks for being honest here. I don't understand why some copywriters who are making educational content say, get feedback from friends and family, they don't know what you're talking about. Right?
I always caution people about asking friends and family for feedback on their copy because they aren’t trained in marketing. Especially in the early days when someone is just starting out. But it can be helpful if they are the target audience!
Sarah, I just started your Write Your Way to Freedom course, and so far I am LOVING it! I’m excited and feeling that light turn on! One question - I already have experience blogging specifically, and instead of content I want to do copy. My experience has been little to no pay for content blogging. How do I find clients for copywriting blogs??? The last thing I wrote for content, I was paid $15 because it was based on number of views. I don’t want to end up there again. Would greatly appreciate your advice! Thank you!! 😊
Welcome to Write Your Way to Freedom! 🥳 I’m so excited to hear you’re loving it but even more than that, that you’ve felt this light inside you turn on - that’s amazing. The modules in the lessons go through this much more in-depth. So I highly encourage checking out modules 1 and 3! Can’t wait to see you inside the course!
