Greetings! We are a British🇬🇧/Filipina🇵🇭 married couple delving into popular shows and giving our raw reaction and analysis. We hope you enjoy the content!
2x6 is one of the best reveals in anime because they just drop it on your lap. And you are forced to process what you are seeing through your shock. That being said, each season gets better and better.
But Miche had no way out, he didn't have a horse or his gear and was surrounded by titans. Even if beast titan left him alone the titans surrounding him would eventually go for him. His death was inevitable.
Levi does present himself as arrogant, but he always showed compassion for his soldiers. Like the first time they showed him he's dying soldier asked him if he helped humanity in anyway or he would die not contributing at all and he responed with something like "You did and you will continue to do. Your resolve will live through me", and he also showed concern about if he heard him all they way to the end. Which makes him a great character for me. Another detail about that scene is he earlier looked at his bloody hand after killing a titan and said "Filthy" but grabbed that soldiers bloody hand with no hesitation.
Hey Aidan. I see your point about Mikasa moving faster than others making no sense I thought the same thing at first, but then I thought what can influence the speed of odm gear user can be previously generated momentum, and Mikasa being confident with the gear definitely helps her to do so.
Fun Fact: The author of the manga is a fan of MMA and if you cant tell already armored titan is based on brock lesnar and eren's titan is also based from a japanese MMA fighter 👑👑👑
Im here 😊 I excited to share this journey with you! Im almost 50 years old and watch this with my daughter, we are in season 4, finally! I discovered Attack on Titan from a youtube 10 ten list, never watched an anime in my life, and im hooked. It's one of the best stories I ever seen.
To conquer the fear of death, one must believe and put their faith in the conqueror of death: Jesus Christ. 🙏 loving prayers and blessing to you in Jesus name, regardless of your faith, may Yah bless you and guide you.
The Reiner monologue was what stuck with me the most as well on my first watch, it was a pleasure to see you put an emphasis on it as well. Great reaction, analysis, and speculation all around!
Regarding Mikasa and Levi being "faster" with ODM gear as compared to the other elite soldiers, I see it like professional car racers or motorists....they could all be the same or use the same cars/motorcycle model with the same speed but if you race against someone more experienced, they will be faster, either cuz they know the terrain better, or know best how to use the equipment. It also comes with experience. ODM gear requires a lot of leg and core strength, so one has gotta be strong enough to carry and shift their own body weight while also staying in balance. Levi has always had experience with ODM gear before even joining the scouts which, I would presume would be why he has a deeper understanding of ODM gear, and knows how to optimize his movements better. Mikasa is a special case, a rare prodigy.....I won't say anything further there
Just found this - seems like this'll be quality content in the later seasons ;D Regarding travelling faster - It's like a normal person on a snowboard vs a pro. Pro goes faster. Snowboard is the same.
Another big clue was during the Female Titan fight Armin tells Jean and Reiner to put their hoods up but right before Reiner goes to attack Annie he takes his hood off so she can see his face.
Best AoT episode for me. Everything about it is perfect. The direction, animation, music, dialogue, plot twist. There are other episodes down the road which are also 10/10 masterpieces, but this will always take the cake for me.
@@vinegan6400「何を言っているんだライナー」 "nani wo itteirunda, rainaa" nani = what wo = object marker itteiru = saying nda = adds emotion/surprise/disbelief rainaa = Reiner So essentially, "What are you saying Reiner?!", "What are you talking about, Reiner?!" - there's no "why" or "telling him" aspect.
@vinegan6400 that's wrong. The point is that Bert was still playing along. He wasn't revealing information. 'Why are you telling him' is an admission that they are Titans. What he said was just like WTF are you saying?
@0ptriX a bit wrong but close. Iru is the present tense modifier for a verb. Da is the informal version of desu. Itteirunda is like 'are saying'. What are you saying, Reiner? I can't explain why it's irun instead of iru. It's some kind of grammar thing. I don't study grammar I just know that's how they do it :) I think maybe either way is fine? The N is just more emphasis on present tense? That it's now? Maybe? So maybe you were correct all along. But that is a weird way to say it.
The translation always irks me a bit. You guys read it the way the subtitles read it: Why are you telling him, Reiner? Which is a dead giveaway. But in Japanese, Bertholdt instead says "What are you saying Reiner??" Which is far more ambiguous and makes way more sense.
35:55 That “speed” moment with Mikasa was purely situational. She wasn’t miraculously moving faster; she built up more momentum than the elites with more precise use of her cables in conjunction with her gas. The efficacy of ODM gear simply comes down to skill and experience. Levi “moves faster” for the same reason; positioning and control define the limits of the gear. Where are you placing your anchors? What are you doing with your body to affect your angle and direction? It’s why having the precision to slice a titan’s nape requires so much training in the first place, and why casualties are always so high in spite of it. Think of it like using a gun; why do you think it’s considered impressive when a trained soldier fires with perfect accuracy and reloads in a couple seconds? Just what is it that you believe they’re doing differently with the exact same tool as an untrained civilian? The same logistics apply to ODM gear, but to an even more complex degree.
love your breakdown of this iconic episode! Definitely your analysis surpassed mine when I saw this and other reactors ive seen. This is one of the best episodes of AOT, Season 3 and Season 4 has some other Iconic episodes to look forward too as well.
What Reiner expected to happen Reiner: Yo, m'aboy Eren, I'm the Armored Titan and and my homie here is the Colossal Titan, you should come with us to our hometown, it's gon' be lit. Eren: You guys are titans? That's soo cool. Just let me pack up my things and we'll be right on our way.
This episode makes us love Sasha Blouse more 16:20 ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 I love that people react to this 17:30 The best words a father can say to his son 18:42 👑👑👑
Fun fact: Sasha was originally going to die in this episode, But Isayama's editor locked himself in the bathroom crying all day and that made Isayama change his mind 😌😌😌
Fun facts: The opening "Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen" was used because, chronologically, this chapter is located within the Battle in Trost Arc. Because the special chapter, Ilse's Notebook, is quite short, the OAD had to be lengthened, increasing a greater number of scenes that do not appear in the manga, among the main ones are: In the manga, Ilse's body was not found inside a tree. The titan that murdered Ilse was never seen again, while in the OAD he was killed by Levi. In the original version of the manga the only characters that appear are: Ilse, Hange and Levi. In the OAD a greater number of characters make their appearance, such as: Mike, Auruo and Petra. It is also discovered (or affirmed) that the titans do have intelligence and common sense, to the point of being able to speak politely (in this case to Ilse, confusing her with Ymir). In the OAD, Auruo's scarf (similar to Levi's) does not appear. It is implied that in the other episodes he uses it because Levi saved his life (as well as his expressions and attitude). In the OVA, the events of the exploration mission in which Ilse Langnar's body is found are set in the year 850. However, in the Attack on Titan Guide, these events are placed one year earlier, in the year 849.
Welcome Season 2 👑👑👑 Get ready for many more things that will make you lose your mind and fall in love with this masterpiece even more 😵💫😵💫😵💫 I'm excited 😉😉😉
