To be fair they have demolished buildings that needed to go, they were so run down. I think all this work will benefit Crewe in the long run as much as I dislike this Labour run council. Police should have an active unit within all town centre in Cheshire East, this would go a long way to providing a constant presence in town centres. Unless there is a big even on you dont see one copper walking the beat in any town centre yet you'll see them on a country road waiting for cars to speed, absolutely baffling. CE need to offload the top heavy staff and start to use that savings for more street workers, never has Cheshire looked so untidy full of litter and pot holes.

Dilapidated is not the word. When I grew up in the '80's the place was buzzing. Now its a ghost town. That wheel was a day job, ridiculous it has been 4 months.

Amazingly Crewe Police Staion is no longer going to be in Crewe !!!!! I suspect the current Police station will be demolished but I would like to see it adapted for an alternative use.Do you live in Crewe?

@@cllr.briansilvester3774 I think some of the tipping is done by people who have no money to give in fines, so they don't fear repercussions. A jail sentence would give them three meals a day, I don't think they fear that either. Its a bad situation. I feel your frustration, it's the same if not worse in the potteries.

I live in sandbach and its the same. Flooding signs everywhere and it only needs the gulley's maintaining. The guy incharge of highways is leaving and I've had a few nasty emails off him. Hopefully the next one will spend the money on the highways and not on his expenses. Cheshire East too many high paid managers and not enough quality repairs and workers.
Outrageous! These people forget they are our servants. But communicate with them in a way they find, and ought to find, awkward and uncomfortable, and they turn nasty, simultaneously and ironically dismissing the council tax payer as abusive and aggressive! Meanwhile, unverified and unchecked criminal migrants are luxuriously accommodated, fed, heated and hydrated in 3 star minimum hotels for.... nothing. Weekly cash allowances, bikes, phones, trips to town on the courtesy bus each day, is it any wonder council tax payers are heartily sick of this charade.
If the public knew how much of our council tax is funding pensions and being used to load up pension pots there would be riots - while they blame 'cuts in funding'...........................

Imagine if, every single day, the Govt could give a different local authority £8m. There are 317 local authorities in England. Do you see how this works? I see France is still a safe European country, not at war.
Get rid of the managers. Budgets Cheshire east new head is going to be on £2k a day who gets paid that without showing something for it. Even footballers have to run around for 90 minutes. Too many managers that's why services are being cut.

Do you really devote your entire life to demonising people who are fleeing war, persecution, and oppression? They're not even allowed bikes? Really?? All of them are men of fighting age and not women and children who should come first if there is a war on in the country they are fleeing from. Why CEO of Cheshire East Borough Council had massive pay rise and other payments if the borough and Crewe are in such a bad state??!! Who is responsible for the lack of Ground Contamination survey report at Coppenhall Place estate and the consent of building 263 houses on the potentially hazardous land??!! Where was the Strategic Planning Board and Building Inspection??!!
It's a bike. It helps them get to a shop, work and able to live the pieces of their life they still have. If you really have that much time to spend having ago about where the money is coming from, why do you spend the time working and supplie the money yourself?
