The Appy Wanderers - You tube Channel gives you an insight into our past Adventures on Goldwing Touring Holidays in the UK & Europe From 2004, to 2014. And it also now covers my other interests, which includes Motorcycle Trials and all things Land Rover I enjoy getting behind the camera, has our new videos show, and hopefully in 2017 I will continue adding many more videos for you to enjoy, best wishes Barry
I bought my first Wing two years ago, a 2018 bagger. I love the motorcycle, it's like a large comfortable sport bike with better wind protection if you want due to the electric windshield.
I think Honda makes the best motorcycles. Indestructible engines, overall build quality and longevity can't be beat. I am biased, as my first motorcycle was a 1974 Honda CL200 that i abused in ways that send lesser scooters running home to thier mammy.
Sadly, since this was made they closed the factory in the US and moved manufacturing to Japan. And so radically redesigned the bike that it no longer looks like a Goldwing.
Excellent to see that someone's uploading the old videos - I look so young there! Then again, it _was_ nearly 30 years ago! Great to see some old faces that are still in the club too.
I answered phone call from Mr Honda in Japan asking to use my motorcycle to develop 100cc oversized piston system! He kept bike for 4-5 months. I didn't recognize 71' 750cb with complete rebuild including 2-into-1 exhaust an new paint! I took bike on 3 month American tour! Secondly, I just bought a 88'- GW enjoy history an functionality!
It's that claim around the minute-thirty mark about rider and passenger hearing two streams of audio that I want more information on. After owning a 2018 Goldwing Tour DCT (which is the best bike for me BY FAR!) since April, only yesterday (10JUL2018) did someone mention on the 2018 Goldwing Facebook page that you can intercom with a passenger by pressing the center button on the left handle four-way pad to speak or hold down that button to put the intercom into VOX mode. I haven't had the chance to try this but I want more information and that poster hasn't replied so far. That's assuming two communicators paired to the bike. I've found that the 20s and 20s EVO work the best although Honda says the Sena 10 works well (but not the 10U because it doesn't have audio multitasking! Anybody want a brand new 10U made to fit the Shoei GT-Air helmet for half price?).
I think Google, is going to give serious thought to their decision about making a 'Android' variant of Apple Car-Play, for the 2018, GL-1800 GoldWing. Because particularly, in the U.S., you REALLY DON'T WANT TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION, THAT YOU'RE DELIBERATELY SNUBBING, POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. I really don't see HONDA, being that 'ARROGANT'. (make that, STUPID).
That’s a pretty lame reason to not get this bike. I’m sure you didn’t use any music controls like this on any other bike, it’s not something you HAVE to do. I have a gay iPhone and I probably won’t use the Apple car play too much.
Im pretty sure he meant he wouldn't buy an Iphone, not that he would forgo the GW. And he does have a valid point. Android owners make up 1/2 the population here in the US, so it would only make sense to offer android auto
