The Block is exclusive content from David Gaskin CRNA,NSPM-C and Josh Dunlap CRNA, NSPM-C about the realm of acute and chronic pain management, ultrasound guidance, stellate ganglion blocks, and dysautonomia and those that suffer from it. Our goal is to educate and bring light to issues that many long COVID and parosmia sufferers deal with as well as current and cutting edge treatments for these conditions and many more.
These people are talking in such a low tone that I cannot hear all that they are saying...it's not my computer (?!) I'm in the Dallas area and am going to look to see if you're in this area.
I couldn't take anything for almost 2 years. I could smell a little from the nasal cavities in the back of my mouth. I can taste. I had both shots. Not perfect, but I would say taste 75% back and smell 90%. It's life changing.
Chronic pain is hell-I’ve been dealing with it for 40 yrs. The only thing that has helped me is mind-body work. I’ve finally realized that complex childhood trauma has caused this relentless pain. I’m on my way to a pain free life. I think I’ve tried every pharmaceutical available including narcotics and every other modality
Hello. I’m the one in the video. I’ve had Fibro for over 30 years. Yes the procedure did work for me. I’m 5 months free of Fibro and I thank God everyday. It’s Republic Pain Specialists in Bryan TX. ❤
Thank you so much. I’m suffering. Physical therapy and occupational therapy are helping some but the flare ups are crazy! Thank you again for talking about fibromyalgia.
I seen David in November of 2022. This injection saved my life! I was back to about 85% normal on taste and smell issues due to long haul covid. I was able to eat more, go out in public, kiss my husband and hug my loved ones! Due to PTSD flashbacks I have had a set back. But I would go back in a heartbeat to have it done again if money was not an issue! I highly recommend getting this done by David or Josh!!! If you have this issue call them ASAP!!
Thank you for your sweet words and trust! We are so sorry you have had a setback. Email us at info@republicpainsp.com and we can talk to you through some things to maybe help!
This video just popped up on my feed and I have hope for the first time, in a long time! I can identify with the patient you spoke of, as I have been dealing with fibromyalgia for about 32 years. It does get worse as time goes on and more debilitating. Thank you for posting this video, really, thank you. Do you happen to know of someone good in the Denver area that does this procedure??
We are so sorry to hear you have been suffering for so long, like so many others. We don't know of anyone else doing it for Fibromyalgia currently, or any Providers in that area. If you have any questions or we can help in any way, please give us a call at 979-703-1426. There IS hope!!
@@republicpainspecialistsI wish radio frequency would have worked for me unfortunately it doesn’t work for everyone. I think I’m one of the only people in the world pushing beyond my limits with the chronic illnesses I have. Not one doctor out there has been able to help with legal methods. I started my own TRT and HRT protocol, this alone improved my energy levels and pain to some degree with NPP. I’ve started my vitamin infusions by IM and am having great results there. No it doesn’t get rid of the pain the pain I can deal with pain is nothing. I go to the gym and lift heavier weights than most healthy people. Halo is an incredible oral steroid that surprised me massively, I didn’t think it would make me numb to the fibromyalgia pain, the energy is off the charts. No wonder why people like JFK took it. Obviously unfortunately it is not sustainable to take as it takes a toll on the liver. However I’m doing what I can to find ways around this. Such as using high doses of vitamins and minerals that help with liver regeneration. Peptides and nootropics have been absolutely amazing in helping me understand what can help with the mitochondrial issue. Fibromyalgia isn’t exactly an autoimmune disorder, it does weaken the immune system however. The effect is on mitochondrial DNA being damaged, antibodies also attach to muscle fibres and nerve endings which is where the pain and fatigue comes from along with the mitochondria issue. What concerns me about nerve blockers is it merely masks the issue and doesn’t fix the root cause, I’d like to see the long term effects of such procedures done through scientific research. I do daily b12 injections so far, I’m about to do the Thiamine protocol used for Parkinson’s. Among many other IM shots or IV. Vitamin d3 is definitely on the list. Amino shots and a whole bunch of others will slowly be introduced. I’m glad this procedure may work for some, I just see it as a bandaid approach in some sense. No one seems to have tested what the mitochondrial DNA looks like after this procedure. I have been diagnosed with chronic pain due to a spinal injury, PTSD, Severe depression, Tinnitus all before having Fibromyalgia as a diagnosis, and sleep apnea just recently. I push extremely hard in the gym, I’m currently able to do 500kg leg press for 8-10reps. After I do my leg day I need a full rest day of recovery. I’ve worked up to being able to do 3 upper body days in a row. I currently weigh 125kg and I refuse to stop. I plan to show everyone around the world that it is mind over matter, you want something bad enough you need to have a strong willpower.
I just had the Stellate Ganglion Block on Monday, 9/18/23 and I am astounded by the improvement. I had parosmia for two and a half years with the majority of foods tasting rotten or like perfume. Since the SGB, there isn't anything that I can't eat (that I have found anyway). I have had BBQ, fish, German food, pork, chicken and so many more things that I haven't been able to eat since I got parosmia. I have psoriatic arthritis which was worsened post-covid. My joints always hurt and I was experiencing fatigue and muscle pain on a regular basis. All of those issues seem to be alleviated since the SGB. I have been using the Wim Hoff breathing and cold water exposure too because I want to make sure my benefits are optimal and that the parosmia (and the joint pain) never come back, to the best of my ability!
From what we have seen it is. We believe that it requires autonomic retraining as well as the block that involves Wim Hoff breathing and cold water exposure. The response is greatest when we utilize every tool we have to treat this.
