Great job! You were very meticulous- reminds me of cleaning the ovens in the commercial kitchen at work lol. But You shouldn't have cleaners in there when you run the self clean cycle. Give it a wipe out before or after (once it's cooled obviously) and that's should be plenty. The cleaners will evaporate and could damage the heating element or the coating on the oven
If you've never removed the door seal and cleaned it, you may want to add it to your list. I had my machine for several years before I tackled that job, and it was way overdue. It's probably about time to do it again. I generally do all of my laundry once a week, and after I finish the last load, I remove the dispenser tray, drain the excess water from it, and leave it out of the machine to dry. I also leave the machine's door open and place a fan in front of it to blow air inside for about 12 hours. I've heard too many horror stories about mold and odors.
@dilashomemakertips I don't mean to be argumentative, but based on several videos I've seen on YT, I think it probably is removable/replaceable. Perhaps the videos I saw were for different LG models, but they looked very similar to yours. The process is very in depth, however; much more complicated than for my Whirlpool. I did not have to remove the top panel or front panel with door to remove mine.
@margarety5443 That's a shame that LG would manufacture such an expensive machine and not design it in such a way as to be able to replace a part that will most likely have a shorter life span than many of the other parts. Especially when they designed some of their other models with replaceable door boot seals, and when competing brands also designed theirs to be replaced.
Thank you for this video. I have ADHD which comes with motivation paralysis (no matter how much or little there is to do, I'll freeze up and get nothing done). You did a great job with this video. I appreciate the quick, easy directions.
