Happy belated birthday! So many wonderful things about this video! I really like how you focus on showing the kids a good time. When you help a young kid to catch his/her first fish, they will remember that for the rest of their lives. I remember catching my very first fish, on rod and reel, like it happened just yesterday. I was about 5 or 6 years old, and I caught a hinalea, at Hau Bush, with my dad. I also caught a kupipi that day as well. I remember reeling up that hinalea and being so excited at seeing how colorful it was, and I remember my dad saying, "WOW!!!!! What a catch!!!", and me feeling so proud. You gave those kids memories that they will never forget. Even when they're 60 years old, they will remember you taking them out on your boat and catching papio with you. 🤙
Great video! I'm in the process of tying some skirts for a ballyhoo dredge rig. I'm using Mylar, flashabou, and crystal flash. Do you have any recommendations for how bushy they should be? I don't want them to mess up how the ballyhoo are swimming. I appreciate any advice! Tight lines!
@@HicksHooks shucks I’m not sure how bushy to make them for trolling ballyhoo but I’m sure you’ll make it good. I would probably just use flashaboo lol
Joe, Happy belated Birthday and many good birthdays to come. Looks like everyone had a good time fishing and swimming. Glad the kids caught, that really made it special. Steam fish looked onolicious and the rest of da food look so ono grindz. Glad you had a terrific birthday with family and friends and good memories. Missing my home in Kaneohe Hawaii. Thank you braddah Joe for sharing your amazing birthday. May the good lord bless you and your ohana. Aloha from Texas and Ahui Hou Malama Pono 🎉🎉🎉
