You’re in a great spot as for your delivery. You have that extra experience. That’s great 👍🏼 I got an opportunity to act on the spike channel as a prisoner. It was a mind blowing experience that I’ll never forget. But I clearly remember freezing up from time to time. Ignoring the cameras wasn’t easy. Ink Masters (I’ll share the season and episode if you’re interested) As for uploading speaking pods vlogs on RU-vid.. lol.. I’m working on that 🌞
I dont have a clue how to do that affilliate🎉. Prob not going to afford to keep the subscription based content i create on my channel coming when time comes so i may have to transition my channel to home videos for a while happenin in late nov. no you havent tried to sell me on anything although i have that gooseneck mic also zoomf3 ,mictrack, dji mic 2 and i think its really cool.🫶🫡Thank You
This is your INFP personality type talking… your personal values are prioritized over money or wealth. Definitely look deeper into that if you want to understand it better. As an INFP myself, I also plan to talk about this in some future videos.
Dumb. AI makes creation faster, learning faster and more optimized, lets you iterate way more. All of human history is trying to alleviate the burden of living day to day and improve our lives - Vaccines, vehicles for long range transport, communication over ranges, information sharing, automation, factories. All these things remove the toil and labor and huge amounts of time it took to get things done. Why would that EVER change now? AI is the natural culmination of all that work and knowledge. We should be planning for a society where work isn't the center of our existence anymore. Planning for everyone to have a decent sized living area, healthcare for all, and a life where the individual chooses what they want to pursue, does what they're capable of.
I'm over 60 but I actually don't feel awkward on youtube. I'm beyond shame. At some point you get old enough to not be bothered. I've been on youtube for years, but still haven't found my groove. I might not ever find it, but I hope one day to figure out what it is I have that connects. If you feel a little old try listening to Alistair Cooke's letters from America. He was doing this program until he was 95 in 2004. He connected wonderfully to every American even though that wasn't the point of the program. For Alistair Cooke it was all about his incredible personality. Nothing else mattered. On my youtube I never use scripts if I can help it and always wing it. RU-vid is so wonderful. Imagine being a performer in the age of television and having to wait for a week to figure out if you connected. My favorite tv show episode is Jackie Gleason's apology for "you're in the picture" in 1961. He had to wait for days until he finally realized what an incredible bomb it was. RU-vid means you always get feedback, sometime in seconds.
You always make some great points with your comments! On a side note, your comments never display correctly for me in the YT Studio so I think I've missed some in the past and if I'm late to see them in the future, that would be why lol!
I sometimes forget that I’ve been recording my voice since I was 6 years old, and have been recording myself on video since I was 13. Maybe I’ll expand on that bit of history on a future video on my channel. Other 40somethings might find that interesting and helpful.
I have the added pressure (in my mind anyway) that my dad WAS a news caster on TV and a radio personality. Haha, I always have him in the back of my mind when I do "chatty" videos. ❤
lol 😂 That accent, Is. very different now :•) I remember a while back you mentioned an advert where you had trouble with your accent, and a particular wording. Know I can picture it better lol 😂 Yeee haarrrr
I really hate what they are doing to us, especially with all the work, schooling, training, and investments we have put into what we love, just for people with no skills, no love, no attention to detail, no passion etc, to just come in and take from us. It's so not cool.. People just don't care! Covid changed the world and hardened everyone's heart and filled them with greed! It's a dog eat dog world now.
Question to the professional - regarding a good AI, that helps and not intend to replace people - is there a tool to remove minor "mouth sounds", to clean up a bit "smacking" people? Not like remove background noise, but tiny polishing
Sounds like you're looking for a Declicker. Depending on the editing software you use (primarily audio DAWs) there are usually 3rd part Declick plug-ins you can buy. The most popular is by iZotope but doing a search based on your own workflow should produce a Declicker that might be better for you specifically. They typically have settings to adjust how aggressive the declick is when processing a recording.
There is much more simple, much more direct, and way more dangerous point behind that non-sense voice clonning. It is a scam. Imagine *automated* call centers with scam calls.... you would not able to trust any call soon. And that already going on at small scale.... all that fake voices and fake videos just a Pandora box for all type of scam and no much practical reason, there is just one reason - someone don't want to pay a real price for the work and "make it cheap"
The complete opposite of AI is also trending. You have to understand the dichotomy. We want pretty green things and music played by humans, but we also want slave robots that can do pretty much anything.
Badazz! I got poison ivy everywhere. My kid loves bugs! Ive found many 4 leaf clovers forreal you find a giant clump and just know you will find one. You will.Good Luck is not needed. May take some time but once you find one you have many more staring right at you🎉Thank You
BEEF! Its whats for dinner😂A I catch people around me watching tons of videos w ai narrative all the time . I tell them thats fake. They dont seam to care .Does mean there will be a demand for the proffesional to have the correct arsenal to give the customer the best product regardless of real or ai. You just said it 11:26 heck great idea !i dont know how to do a timestamp🤮wish i had a robot to do concrete!idk. I agree. 🎉 Thank You
Wayne, loved your insights! This is an excellent topic, in which you weigh all outcomes of the use and the differences between A.I. voicing and authentic human skills. In essence, humans strive to sound a little more like A.I.‘s and Machines strive to sound more like human. When the effort and appreciation of both aspects is taken into account, the aim and the product can be quite good. A good specialty lies within distinguishing what will have staying power; the ‘stand the test of time’ longevity and good taste. 😀
Hello Wayne. I personally feel that there are aspects of my experience that require pain in order for me to bring my intentions to fruition. I think that a large portion of our ineffectiveness stems from our fear of painful growth, but I suspect that shifting your view on pain and suffering allows you to work with it rather than reject it. It's still hard. I know for sure that even with my own hypothetical outlook on painful growth, I'm still hesitant to engage in the tasks that I need or must do. I think that even if you can't muster the willpower to accomplish x, y, and z, it is still the case that you can frame your own attitude, which will result in increased leverage. Even if we fail to accomplish everything we want or need to in a given amount of time, we can still directly choose our view of ourselves and the tasks we have at hand (at least mostly). Optimism is generally naive if it fails to account for the critical variables of any given situation, but I still think that choosing a life-affirming and self-affirming attitude can ease the pain, at the very least.
I just watched your whole vid. You did great. Above great actually. And that's wonderful. Thumbs Up Peeped your website as well. I get it now. I get why you're against AI. AI will get to the point where it will sound even more human then an actual human, if you can wrap your head around that one. I just hope for both to coexisting together "fairly" (where it doesn't jeopardize jobs/careers etc but instead enhances everyone's workflow) and in "harmony".
I re subscribed.. this is getting too interesting. I actually unsubscribed because I thought you had a personal issue with me due to me using generative tools. I don’t believe that’s the case anymore. We can learn from each other.
This should be a fun experiment :) You should probably put a couple of reminders in your calendar like 2 and 4 and maybe 8 weeks from now reminding you to check in on tomorrows video and do some short updates on how it performs in the short vs long run, since some videos could take several weeks to «find it’s footing» :) Also: if you’re planning to do another «double down» ai-video I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Artlist AI Voice Over-product, but of course done in your regular day to day no-edit style, so no edits or anything but your honest opinion on how good/bad it is, and it’s possible impact on you as a pro voiceover-dude. Doing a video on that could give some valuable insights into how a video about a current general topic (ai) but also a *very* current new product (artlist Vo AI) would perform for a small-ish channel :)
When AI has taken over all the creative work, we will probably realize that it was this ‚work‘ that actually gave us purpose, that gave us worth and made us happy. But how will you get it back when it has all been rendered worthless by AI?
found this channel through the latest AI video, not that interested in AI but I like the format of regularly posted unedited mini-podcasts by interesting people. see you tomorrow!
Yeah AI is soooo hyped now. As a programmer, I was tempted to talk about it on my channel, but I am so meh about it. I am very interested in seeing your experiment unfold!
Yep, when I see a faceless channel, I cannot X out of that fast enough and then mark as don't recommend. In SWE, there was an initial hype with AI because it was novel, but after that wore off, the reality is that whatever the big companies are doing (layoffs) with the expectation that AI will replace developers is just not happening. AI writes bad code and makes developers stupider. If it were to do anything, the disruption will come very slowly in maybe 10 years. And then there's the problem of the AI being trained on data, once it gets to the point where it is trained on ai generated data, then what? The quality and creativity will be on a downwards trajectory.
I am on a similar journey to minimize. I don't know how I accumulated all this crap in my lifetime, so far. I like minimalism because I'd rather not think about and maintain most of the stuff I have anymore. And despite the cesspool that facebook has turned into, I still basically have it for the freecycle groups and to sell some higher ticket stuff on the marketplace (which can be annoying AF with time wasters, but I will always charge something when I post on the marketplace and will only hold stuff if they put down a deposit). It's literally the only reason I still have facebook. If it's smaller stuff I don't want to think about, it gets donated to goodwill. I try to avoid donating to Savers if I can. Although they're all not great, at least Goodwill and even Salvation Army are non-profits
