Epoxy grout dries faster on the surface of the tile. Joints still wet, how you manage that. If you clean too early it takes off from.the joint. If you wait too long its hard to clean the surface. Any tips on this pls. Thx..
When grouting it's best to "cut" as much excess grout from the surface before moving to your next section. You should be able to clean the section you just grouted after 20 minutes. Wash additive packets are provided in the product packaging to aid in the initial wash. With a well rung out sponge, wipe grout joints and tile surface in a light circular motion, loosening grout residue while making the joints smooth. Drag a clean well rung out sponge diagonally over the scrubbed surfaces to remove grout residue. Rinse sponge after every pass; use each side of sponge only once between rinsing. Discard sponges when they become “gummy” with residue. Check work as you clean. Repair any low spots with additional grout. Following these instructions should result in a successful installation!
So why on your website said that has to be seal with hydro ban liquid corners and seams? Why this information changes? Or not updated on your website? Website recommend a different method.
HYDRO BAN liquid waterproofing membrane is also suitable for treating seams and corners. There are multiple methods, the one you go with depends on the cost, preference, and what will work best for your particular application.
When treating a seam in Hydro BAN Board, apply a bead of HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant ¼” to ½” (6-12.7 mm) over the seam. Tool sealant to desired thickness, typically 1/16” to 1/8” (1.5 to 3 mm) before a skin forms. The HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant should uniformly cover the seam and extend approximately 2” (50 mm) on either side.
Due to the chemistry in this product and others similar, it is likely to harm grass. We would suggest immediately rinsing with clean water any areas you don't want the product to be.
HYDRO BAN is similar to a thick paint consistency but can certainly be poured directly from the bucket. We recommend pouring into a paint tray and applying with a nap roller for the best results!

I used your BulletProof sealer two years ago on my shower floor. What product/s should I now use to remove the old sealer and clean my shower floor before applying the sealer again?
Hey Larry, thank you for choosing LATICRETE products! Before the new application of sealer, we'd recommend the use of our STONETECH Klenzall cleaner to ready the surface for a new sealer application. This will ensure you strip the surface of any contaminants that may impede the sealer's ability to properly penetrate the surface. You can find more info on this cleaner at our website here! - www.laticrete.com/en/products/stonetech-klenzall-cleaner
Any of our penetrating water-based sealers will do the trick! For this I'd recommend using our STONETECH Stone, Tile, and Grout Sealer but you can also step it up to our Heavy Duty Grout Sealer or our Bulletproof sealer. All of our sealers can be found here at our website! - www.laticrete.com/en/our-products/tile-stone-and-surface-care/protect#filterproduct_e=0
Lightweight cementitious products utilize the use of recycled glass beads for their aggregate. This is how they are able to provide around the same coverage as the 55lb bag in half the weight.
@laticrete thank you. And where can I buy some? I went on your website and looked at dealers that sell your product. None of then carry the LITE product.
It may be best to put you in touch with a local Sales Rep for help with getting your hands on this product. Give us a call and we can certainly assist in getting you this information! 1.800.243.4788
So do you potentially need to use two different mortar products on top of the mat, one to fill the voids and then a different mortar to set the tile with?
This pan is extremely easy to cut down to size and can be done with a simple hand saw. We would only recommend trimming of outside edges. Connection with the wall would be no different, however it may be necessary in some cases to build back additional height for slope purposes.
This Ready To Use grout is not made of epoxy material however, it does meet some industry standards of an epoxy grout with it's stain resistance and resistance to some chemicals.
When using the HYDRO BAN Board along with HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant, you're ready to flood test or tile in as little as 2 hours. There's no need for additional products.

Hey Cliff, depending on the temperature you're installing in, this product will allow for light foot traffic in as little as 12 hours. For the list of cure times, please check out the test results on the product data sheet on our website. cdnmdm.laticrete.com/ProductAssets/Product%20Documents/ds-681-la-en.pdf
WHY the insane music? This was meant to be instructional, not a music video. The application method was not even remotely discussed. What was the point of posting this if it wasn't supposed to sell the product? Embarrassing.
Due to the grouts stain resistance when used with this product, there's no guarantee the Heavy Duty Sealer would make much of a difference or be able to penetrate the grout. It can certainly still be used, but with this additive it'll will already have the stain resistance you need.
I sealed my quartzite countertops two days ago and I see what looks like smudging on it. If I reapply sealant will this will take away the smudge look or do I need to remove it? Thank you!
If you're seeing anything like this on the surface, this would be residue from the sealer. We would recommend cleaning the surface with Klenzall Cleaner and a light scrub pad to remove it. If you need additional sealing after, reapply sealer liberally and do not allow it to dry for the duration of the application. Make sure to wipe up all sealer from surface and come back with a dry clean towel to buff it dry.
Once LATICRETE FRACTURE BAN SC™ has dried to the touch, ceramic tile, stone or brick may be installed by the thin bed method with a Polymer Fortified Thin-Set Mortar. Do not use solvent-based adhesives directly on FRACTURE BAN SC.
We have 2 of these units, but with displays. Recently, one stopped heating the floor and displayed anywhere between 95 and 102 degrees. It was set at 75 and had not been changed. First, we tried resetting with the button on the back. Next, we purchased a new unit and switched it out but the new unit displayed the same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.I tried calling the company but never heard back.
We're sorry to hear you're having difficulties, please reach out to us directly to assist in troubleshooting. Sometimes these issues can be due to the settings in the unit, or wires connected incorrectly. We can certainly go over any possibilities over the phone. We do also recommend an electrician be there to check all the wiring if you're not comfortable doing this. 203-800-6139

In theory yes, however we would recommend not mixing manufacturer products. Systems should be from the same manufacturer for guaranteed compatibility and warranty reasons.
@@laticrete THanks for your responcs. My situation is, I had ordered Schluter LTS system a while back and then discovered about the water wicking. Since there is substantial $$$ for the LTS including the drain, I am hoping to block water from getting anywhere near the cement in seams where kerdi corners and bands as well as the drain flap is. The only thing that comes to mind seems to be Hydro Ban XP or a similar liquid waterproofing membrane....hence the question. I am DIYer, so the lifetime warranty will likely not exist anyway.
We'd love to help you find out what's going on and help you troubleshoot this. Please give our Technical Services Department a call at 1.800.243.4788 x1235
