University of the Pacific is the first university in California, founded by state charter in 1851. Initially located in Santa Clara, the university moved to San Jose and then to Stockton in 1924. Now, we have two other campuses in Sacramento and San Francisco, hosting many of our graduate and professional programs, while the Stockton campus houses many of the undergraduate programs.

So the Arctic is warming faster than anywhere else? Looking at the European Climate Assessment & Dataset (ecad.eu) for Longyearbyen, Svalbard, the mean of daily mean temperature graph (1958-2020) shows 1958 around -4°C. The temperature then declined rapidly and stayed lower around -6° or -7°C until the mid 1980's (Remember CO2 was rising all the time). By 2015 it rose to around -2.5°C and there it levelled off for the remaining 5 years of the record. So an overall change of +1.5°C in a little over 60 years. If this is the fastest warming on Earth we have nothing to worry about. But it does show how variable climate can be, and the temperature changes have no relationship to the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. In the current interglacial Svalbard has been far warmer than today. Using biomarker evidence (for example, the Early Holocene presence of sea creatures unable to survive below fixed warmth thresholds) and glacier melt extent measurements (for example, sea shells buried 6 km inside a glacier), scientists have discovered that much of Arctic Svalbard was about 7°C warmer than today during the Early Holocene, when CO2 concentrations were much lower (near 260 ppm) (Farnsworth et al, 2020. Leopold et al, 2019. van der Bilt et al, 2019. Łacka et al, 2019. Beierlein et al, 2015).
I live just off the Calaveras Bike trail near I-5. I would walk my dogs along the trail between I-5 and Pershing Ave daily and would frequently see and talk to UOP bike officers along the area. I am an '70s UOP grad, and am thankful that the UOP sworn police are still protecting us all!
My Grandson 9 wants to work For NASA an when I saw this movie comming out we pop some popcorn an watched it, at 60 I think I was over the moon 🌕 inspired. Of course, he had questions as to why he was treated so bad because racism is not in him he thought those Men were being bullies but I explained that it should motivate you not discourage you, which is exactly what he did. Such a grest movie I told all my family about it. It is my new favorite movie, he didn't just inspire one race he inspired the world 🌎. After the movie we planned a trip to US Space and Rocket Center in Alabama for him it was awesome, our Grandson met a retired Rocket Scientist Gerald J Fishman, him an his wife just happen to come stoll that day, he talked with our Grandson an took a pic with him, I was excited for him to see that smile on his face. What also makes this movie great is the man he seems so kind, poliet, humble, gracious, and his love for his wife and way he speaks about her you just know he appreciates her and loves her dearly. Sorry this is long, I do love to write. But this movie will an should go on for Millions of generations 😁. Oh it would be terrible of me if I didn't mention that ALL the actors were very good I thought the movie was about them that good. God bless an God speed. 🚀
This is the BEST movie I have seen this year! The story is so inspiring and incredible! It should be nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe. Michael Peña is fantastic as is the whole cast! Tears of joy will pour from your eyes after watching this heartfelt true story. Director deserves all awards this upcoming season! ❤❤❤❤❤🚀🚀🚀🎉🎉🎉
