Funny listening to you singing the LSU pregame part. I grew up listening to that pregame, and hearing an opposing band member sing it just makes me chuckle
@@mateobuitrago6548 completely agree to that. Same for y’all, I love listening to y’all playing, especially Seminole uprising. I’m considering both places for my post grad specifically because I want to go somewhere with a large and well funded marching band, since that’s what I want to teach
I’m not sure what you’re implying by this question. I’ll admit my face was a bit tired by halftime, but one of the biggest things we work towards is maintaining high energy throughout the entirety of our performance!
@@mateobuitrago6548 I implied nothing at all; it was purely a question intended to obtain information-admittedly a rare thing nowadays. This early in any show's run, there are always things that can be improved, and I was wondering, from your participating point of view, what those might be. Not just your own performance, but the band's in general. Of course, I don't want you to say things like, "Our seventh sackbut player has no sense of pitch," either. I'm so sorry you took this as an implied criticism!
To anyone wondering, playing the War Chant never gets old! It’s a great way to get the team fired up (and to get in people’s heads). We play it with pride every single time and we love when the fans get into it! Yes…we did play it 42 times, but here’s a list of OTHER songs we played that night: Neck Fight Song/First Down Garnet and Gold March F-S-U Cheer Massacre Musical Cheer Climb Blueprint Big Ballin’ ESPN No Surrender Loki (Green Theme) GBU Drumline Go Noles Go

No Seminole uprising? That one had the best trombone feature ever and the whole mix is amazing. Also I'm a fellow trombonist and it would've been my dream to go to FSU if I was still in Florida.
How fun to see your POV! And to hear you playing your part. Awesome job! If only we could also see the aerial view at the same time. :) As a former high school band member, it brings back fun memories!
It’s not too difficult, you play 2 etudes on day 1 for your music audition. The marching portion can be kinda tricky, you spend about 10 days learning all the fundamentals. At the end you do a final assessment, and then you’ll find out if you made it. Hope this helps!
Man I would love to play for FSU, I'd be back home near where my father lives, he could be able to watch live ganes with me playimg if i were to be in Florida state and idk BSU when I love FSU through and through.
We march straight horns but we also march 5 bass trombones (with 2 valves), that’s just what the school provides. I personally prefer the straight horns, you get a more bright and louder sound.
