I want a more comfortable bed, but I also want to store the bed in the same way as stock. Catch 22 I guess. This looks cumbersome with some pretty big compromises.
Some people leave their beds down almost all the time, so in those scenarios it's ideal. But, if you need the space or prefer to have your bed put up when you aren't using it, you do make some sacrifices with the Ultra Luxe. It really just depends on how you use your van and ultimately how many nights you'll be sleeping in it. Like most things in these vans, there are trade-offs. If you have any questions or want to come see it in person, shoot us an email at info@canyonadventurevans.com
Yes, you can! If you're going to spend a lot of time sitting on your bench seats with multiple people with your Slide Out Deck extended, we highly recommend getting the Hitch Support on our website. It's easy to set up and reinforces it so that you never have to worry about having too many people or too much weight on your Slide Out.
Hey, seems like this video didn't answer your questions. For clarity, this is made for Sprinter Vans and if you don't have a Rolef Bug Screen, you'll just use the provided self tapping screws to mount your D-Rings in the approximate same location (or higher/lower, up to the customer). We do go over this in the video, but understand that it can be easy to miss.
What happens if the wind blows it open? The door stop simply falls out? Trying to find one that keeps it open to sleep at night. This doesn’t seem reliable for that?
Hey Bradley, if you are in an area with some decently strong winds, you're probably right that they wouldn't last all night. These were an early and low-cost way to keep your doors open, since then we've developed the Stop-Stays which use gas struts to keep your doors open. These are much more reliable, however they are more expensive. Check them out on our website if you're interested.
lol 300,000 after options and no solid surface counter top like Tiffin and they are 150,000 cheaper with starlink.........WOW! Revel address this ASAP! and lower your price by 150,00 !
I bought the unassembled kit. You mentioned there would be a separate video explaining how to assemble them. I can’t find the video - Can you post the link?
Is there a way to have this completely locked down? Anyway to make sure the only access is by key? I have computer and camera equipment that I would love to store in there for safe keeping while im away from the van but seems like someone would just need to lift up the cushions and they have access to it.
You absolutely can! If you're trying to rotate your chair, you would just slide your whole Lagun system off, rotate your chair and slide it back on. Just takes a second.
Why does the van even need rear seats if the front seats swivel? It seems like such a lost opportunity to better use the space and space is everything in a van.
A lot of people have been saying that. This design is more family/group oriented but it seems like most people that use these vans either travel alone or as a pair. An interesting choice from Winnebago for sure.
Hello! Right now the best GLSS option in a Tiffin is the GLSS Pro Passenger. If you want a driver/passenger set-up, we recommend 2 Passenger Side GLSS Pro's as it leaves more room in your Tiffin Garage. The Driver + Passenger is a bit too wide and sticks into the aisle.
Great design....interested in buying the complete GSSR system with bed risers too! One question.....once the bed is lowered to the new position, how many inches does that leave you for sleep space? Can one still sit on the edge of bed without hitting their head?
Hey Fred, unfortunately we no longer sell the GSSR system. You can stack our new GLSS Pro boxes though to create something similar. About the bed risers, they raise your bed by 10 inches, you lose a marginal amount of sleep space with the taper of the van (I'm 6'1, can still sleep comfortably on it) but you'd need to see if you have 10 inches above your head on your current bed setup to see if you'll hit your head with bed risers. Hopefully this answers your questions.
Fred! In an unforeseen chain of events, we actually have one more GSS-R built and ready to go. We're listing it on the website right now but wanted to give you a heads up! It's going to be heavily discounted but it's basically brand new and comes with a vacuum installed as well as all the other amenities.
If you mean actually up where the mattress goes, yes, if you mean in the storage system itself (all those boxes on the driver side) I'd say probably not.
Great video. Well spoken gentleman. Very clear. I'm good at this stuff and was impressed. I would have liked to see the door to the microwave opened at the end to assure myself there is no concern with clearance with the new door. Oh me of little faith.
Hey Micah, sorry for the late reply, send some pictures to info@canyonadventurevans.com (if you haven't already) and our install team can help you find a solution.
So awesome 👌 saving up for the Jayco Terrain version. Excellent add on for serving the kids meals without having to lug out the stock Jayco front cab table (I'm planning on getting the Canyon front cab table). So far I've loaded up on Canyon sink cover, front and rear cab climashade and the very useful Maxxair zippered cover which keeps the heat and cold out as well as makes for a quieter highway drive.
You need to mention removing at least the top panel clamp for the old panel. I removed them both. Then you can install the assembled bed step.assembled
Thank you - we forgot to mention this as we removed that panel years ago for our original bed step. For anyone else having the same issue, you'll just want to remove the screws that hold the bracket that the lower panel snaps into, then your bed step should fit properly.
My flooring extends further back towards the door and crosses over a small section of the plastic, preventing me from taking it out, and covering the little tab. After watching the video, it looks like I can just use a dremel multitool and cut it without removing it. Any reason you think that wouldn't work?
Without seeing your van we can't make any recommendations. If you want, send pictures to info@canyonadventurevans.com and we'll have our install team look at it and advise.
@@canyonadventurevans It worked! I just used a Dremel Multimax to cut out the plastic area, instead of unclipping the full plastic, pulling it out, and then cutting. Worked fine and the product is amazing. Thank you!! BTW, I do see a bit of movement when the heavy door (with the owl van big box and bike racks on it), but I think it is just from the heavy weight and momentum when it opens. I think it is just a small amount of movement from the sheet metal bending, as I believe I saw that on the Owl Vans demo unit too. That's ok, right? Thanks for a great product!!
Thank you for the update! Happy you made it work in your van. It's not uncommon to have a little flex or movement when the doors are opening, we have seen it on a few vans. It varies install to install but we've had 0 issues on our vans (loaded up with tire carrier, boxes, ladders, etc.) and have heard of 0 issues from our customers.
So sorry for the inconvenience but no, this does not work in the '25 Revel. Send an email to info@canyonadventurevans.com and we'll get you set up with a return and refund. Again, so sorry for the inconvenience. We are working on a modified version of this kit for the '25 Revel.
Down the road we will find some way to add a bed step, it feels like a necessity now that we've had it in our vans for so long. You're right though, the new cabinet will be a problem so we'll probably find somewhere else to mount it.
Just finished installing these rear window covers on my 2023 Sprinter. Great product and you have improved it by pre-applying the 3M VBH tape to the metal tabs. That saves a lot of time on the installation. Next, I'll be adding your CLIMA-SHADE cover to the sliding door window. Thanks!
