I just got an old trumpet from my grandfather and I thought it was gonna take forever. I watched this vid and thought ‘your kidding right, the valves are that simple?’
Any Canadian Brass trumpet player (Ronald Romm) they have to be good. Glad you selected two women players. I feel they are underrepresented in trumpet world. I have a pirated copy of one of Wynton's classical albums that I still cherish today (Sorry Wynton I owe you $15). I would have added Alison Balsom, Sergei Nakariakov, Ole Edvard Antonsen, Philip Smith, And of course the king Maynard Ferguson. But there are so many that are amazing. I could list 30-40- without much thought.
For sure! There are so many great players out there. I definitely made this video knowing it could be a 10-to-20-part series if we really wanted it to on this channel. Many of the names you mentioned are names of musicians who all inspired me greatly when I was going through school. And my former teacher at IU played lead trumpet in Maynard's big band! I hope we continue to get successful and prolific musicians like that as every generation comes to its own over time. Thanks, as always, for watching!
Shoutouts to my beautiful wife for her help in designing much of the clip art for this video! Find the "Seal Of Approval", Mouse, Fox, and more of her designs at: www.redbubble.com/people/Just-Cline/shop
