Nice ! My 06 has a belt noise when cold or wet Went away this summer Came back when weather got colder. I put a new belt and tensioner pulley and other pulley , can’t remember which about 60k miles ago. I order the whole kit now to do it all. Well see which is bad and causing it when I dig into it. I think it’s gonna be a JOB considering how tight it is in there. Just got done doing spark plugs lol
I just put new coils and plugs in my 2003 gmc Envoy XL didnt have this problem it was slipping with old coils and plugs after replacing plugs and coils the truck stays in overdrive has no slip drives strong but hesitates when i hit 50 now but no slip but gas whew is worse than before any idea whats going on help anyone im a mechanic myself but stumped here
A lot of vehicles end up getting plugged up evaporator cores and heater cores due to outside debris due to not having one . Major issue with superdutys up until recently . 11th gen f150s and 12th gen I don’t see a lot of plugged up evaporator cores or heater cores. Idk I’m not partial to having one or not having one. I drive lots of gravel and don’t seem to have any issues even in my 18 f150 running without one
I did the timing bc the shop quote was out of my budget, but now i need new exaust manifolds and im not sure what path to take..it seems more difficult and risky
I had my water pump replaced 4 months ago. It went bad again in 2 months. It was under warranty so I took it back to the shop and when I got my car back the tensioner pulley was squeaking. It didn’t squeak at all before that. They butt raped me for $470 to replace it and now 2 months later that squawking sound is back. Bad tensioner pulley no doubt wtf! 2010 Camaro SS.
Dawg I swapped an f150 Coyote into an f100 and swapped one into 04 heritage f150 seemlessly and without a control pack. Both easy. It's as easy as any other swap, if not easier since the thing bolts up and drops in to the original spot. After that, it's just little things to get it running with smog, AC and all.
2024-FALL/September; took my glove compartment down and was confused to try and check the cabin filter condition since I've never changed it; my truck 2008 F150 XLT 4.2l and found this video and mystery solved. Thanks much
This has an example of the meaningless aspect of using the word actually. He says the 3 legs are actually connected together. No, they are connected to a common tube. To use the word actually in a way that makes sense, the 3 steel legs would be welded to each other, not a common tube. Sloppy language.
I’m planning on coyote swapping my 2006 Lincoln MarkLT. It’s one of the best looking trucks I’ve ever owned but it needs some muscle to match its looks. It looks absolutely amazing but it’s slow. Has 320k miles but looks new. Perfect for a engine swap
Thanks buddy, mine is a real beauty, 2007 Mustang GT with 103 k original miles on my plugs. I’m thankful for your tip of using an impact gun all at once for an easy extraction with no plug breaks.
NEED HELP: I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer V8 is was running great. However, it starting a little jerk every blue moon when I would hit the gas while drive but it was sporadic. It still drove great with acceleration. At red lights, if idle too long it would sound like it was loosing power & shake a little. I would hit the gas pedal but it would take the gas 2 seconds slower than usual. Yday, it died at the red light but started right back up. Took it to O'Reilly this morning to check the codes. It gave primary DTC Fuel System Too Lean (Cylinder Bank 1). P0171 crankcase breather house and PCV valve. We replaced the PCV valve but it runs worse and won't stay crank. Please help me.
Hey I’m literally in the middle of doing this lol what tape did you use? Can you link the specific tape cause i don’t think the silicone is going to hold up id greatly appreciate it!!
Take all of thenold insert off. Not just the leather, but the cardboard it was glued to. Most of the glue will come off with it. Then you dont have to worry about getting the old foam off. The ABS panels fit better and the silicon glue works just fine. However, I used the gorilla glue contact cement close to the edges
My 2003 F150 5.4 V8 Triton does this but I have 189,000 miles on it. I don't mind replacing the coils and the pigtails because it's been a good and reliable truck: not even valve noise from the engine.
I have a bad coolant leak and I can’t find it. It seems to be behind the engine on the driver side on my 4.6L. I think it has to something to do with the evaporation system. Could the problem be as simple as hoses?
Mine working (sorta) I pull the e brake up and it’ll stay still but say I bump into it, the level falls down instantly? why isn’t it being properly secured once engaged ?
Just discovered this video since I make plug and play harnesses for the 2005-2010 Mustangs. Coyote definitely does on that platform and we retain ac gages and cruise functions. I want to develop the same harness for these trucks in your “seamless “ manner. I know the mounts for the engine will work but there will be more mechanical hurdles like the DS Trans and PS.
Pretty cool, I've come across your posts over the years as I have an s197 3 valve as well. I remember back in 2018 or 19 when you were doing the fusion Coyote swap back then. Followed that in real time. See your posts from time to time in various Ford groups I'm in on FB. The swap harness would be awesome and I know down the road I would be more open to it as funds allowed. They're great trucks but archaic now with the engine and especially the old 4 speed transmission.
@@3VJohnny thanks! Couldn’t agree more! I’ve been looking at 04-08 RCSB trucks in my area a lot. They seem to hold their value more than super or few cabs heh.
Oh yeah and if you find one in good shape they're still good money because so many were trashed haha. I'll be watching, it'd be a cool thing to have for this generation of truck no doubt.
Bro! Literally heard this driving sometimes before my alternator broke nd the whole belt shred. Now we can't get the belt back on nd I'm assuming this part is broken makes sense it's all coming together now. !!!
