How long would you think it would take me to learn the software and get into the point of adding simple beats to songs? (I am already familiar with most things music like mixing, etc)
Thanks for the video. It helped me to move forward, quickly getting on my way in the same way one would get good directions from a gas station attendant. Appreciate you and your work!
I've been having lots of trouble understanding most of this, and even though i may or may not understand fully, i wanted to say i thank you for making these videos for easier understanding!! :D
They are the same midi settings in Ableton live lite like in Ableton live ? Because i did the same settings but when i close and reopen Ableton the settings arent memorated but why...i dont know, so can you help me with this, please ?
Sir I’m buying push 3 and also planning to buy the new shure sm7db can you help me if the push interface is good enough or should I buy any interface please help me with this
I just had a problem where my meters were going with no sound coming out. This video didn’t give me the solution. However I’ll share just in case anyone else has the same problem. Check your previously used plugins in case they are expired, disabled or just need to be reset 👌🏽
How do i make my main vocals not be afected by this EQ? Because of the low cut, the vocal that is send to the return track is also affected and sounds dull
@@pushpatterns thanks! But it’s exactly what i’m doing, but it appears that the return track ends up “eating” the dry vocal ): i dunno if it’s suppose to be like that and i turn down the volume or something like that
I am still very tempted to getting Push 3 Standalone. To only play it without a laptop and no other gear for a while. If I get intro with it , am I missing out on a lot by not getting Suite ? And if I get intro , can I get suite at a discounted price or how does that work? I couldn’t find that answer in their site.
Hey, The only real impact I think that you will feel is the lack of instruments, other than thats the limitations that you would feel in Live I don't think would effect you that much on the Push 3. And yes you can upgarde at a later date at a upgrade price.
You can use any sample you want into drum sampler. You don't have to use drum rack for drums only. You can use it however you want. I've seen guys use it as a glitch rack. Treat drum rack as a multi sample sampler using drum sampler now you can use the effects on each sample but limit one per sample.
just want to say great video, its easy to follow and gets straight to the point, at roughly 2:30 you talk about changing the audio, just one thing, im on mac right now, and i want to know what the right level of volume on my device so that it isnt too loud or too quiet on anyone elses device when they are listening to my track.
A Launchpad MK4 with 8 encoders (with their corresponding displays underneath), plus 8 polyphonic sequencers, with internal battery and midi via bluetoth, would be a dream.
Ah, man, that sounds like a dream! I think there is a gap in the market for a standalone Ableton controller that’s reasonably priced. It would fit somewhere between the Launchpad Pro and Push 3.
@@pushpatterns I midi mapped the controls myself! Everytime I start a new project I can reassign everything luckily! Speaking of such can I save what I map it to as well?
I’m using the Sony MDR-7506. You can buy it here with my affiliate link at no extra cost to you, but I get a little commission which helps support this channel. It will also make me happy, lol. thmn.to/thocf/998f3munqe
Unfortunately, there isn’t a parametric EQ in Ableton Live Lite’s stock plugins, but I’m thinking of creating a video with free alternatives that you can easily install in Live. Let me know if that’s a video you would be interested in!
Hey! I haven’t had much experience with the Octatrack, but I have spent a lot of time with the RYTM. I found the Elektron workflow to be quite steep at first, making it hard to grasp everything initially. However, these machines are amazingly powerful, and once you overcome the initial learning curve, the possibilities are endless. On the other hand, I found the Push 3 very easy to “pick up and play,” and I don’t feel that this limits the possibilities either. It all depends on what suits you best. My best advice would be to go to a store that has the Octatrack and try it out. It’s great, but not for everyone.
@@pushpatterns oh, I should’ve clarified: I’ve owned an Octatrack before. Learned it pretty quick. Came from eurorack before that. Was simply wondering if Push can be as immediate as an Elektron box aaand as fun.
@@TheGoldenWreath Ah ok! I find it just as fun :) but feel they are both different beasts. I generally find things a lot easier and quicker on the Push as I'm used to Ableton Lives workflow.
@@pushpatterns thanks for all your feedback, partner. I’m looking for the one box that does most all I need. Considering : octa , op1 field , or push 3. I like harsh noise, experimental noise, and idm and would like the freedom to do them all on said box. I think op1 fails at idm. The endless search …
Man I wish I could give you the right answer but unfortunately there is no right answer lol The search is endless! I think if you are a Live user you would really like the Push 3 workflow tho. :)
@@pushpatterns The old school RU-vid. Everything up to the 2 minute mark. You ever see videos where someone comments “video starts at _____ minute mark” ? You didn’t do it here, but the long intros, please like and subscribe etc.
Thanks for the video. I don't think this device was worth spend time/resources for Ableton. DrumRack + Simpler + FX can give the same, perhaps with more clicks. I have an impression (from reading reddit, kvr, vi-control) that Ableton Live users ask for different things rather new devices that do what's achievable with the current ones.
for some reason im unable to arm both midi tracks, I have both loaded with the same sounds you have shown, but I cannot arm both tracks to seamlessly switch between the synth keys and the 808 drum pads. Would u by chance know how I can remedy this? TY! Great video!!
This is super sick, adding it to the drum rack is going to be amazing They should definitely make the sub osc be by scale, and not by frequency, that could get super annoying
I might be naive but you if you give the set the keystroke for midi mapping (be it from a M4L device or the Launchpad X for example) doesn’t it activate midi mapping mode on the P3S?
Sorry, I'm not completely sure if I understand your question, so please correct me if I'm wrong. As of now, you can't do custom MIDI mapping directly on the Push 3. You need to do it in Ableton Live and then transfer the project to the Push 3.
I’m always looking for the one box to get rid of everything else. Sick of gear. Can the push 3 do harsh noise music? Sample mangling? I am used to Octatrack and Eurorack, but wondering if the Push 3 can replace everything else for me.
Hey, thanks for the comment! Yeah, push 3 can do what you like! It has a few good samplers many amazing audio effects, and I particularly like the granular III instrument to completely change a sample in Brian Eno's ambient magic
