High level player fighting game replays (Guilty Gear Strive & Street Fighter 6), future fighting game related statistical analysis (tournament play, character tiers in practice, etc), and other content showcasing computer vision tools for fighting games.
The goal with the replay videos is to raise the bar. FGW High Level Replay Commandments: 1. When possible, post videos of players who have proven themselves in online or offline tournament play. 2. Curate the matches used in the replay videos. All games in a set will be watched, and the best matches based on my internal hype-meter and game knowledge will be picked. 3. Always use the names the players go by, and have info to back up an IRL player being linked to an in game alias (R-Code, etc). 4. Where possible, credit the players and post a link where their socials/streams can be found (a goto for the channel is a player's Liquidpedia page,). 5. Support/give back to the Fighting Game Community whenever possible.
Thanks for the suggestion/feedback. I made a deliberate choice never to include the scores. The games used in replay videos are usually from larger sets, and with that overall set there's no telling what the players' motivations were. Often good players will play with other goals in mind beyond winning, like trying a new strat, deliberately working to improve a specific part of there game, or they're just casually running sets with a friend (who happens to also be a sick fighting game player). So in the end the outcomes don't matter , except for the drama when they're being watched. For me it's all about showing dope matches, and showcasing both players and characters featured in the most respectful and positive way. In these replay videos I make, I will always use more winning games for the player who won the overall set, and the winner of that set will also be the winner of the final game (only exception is when the set went even, then the last game winner is arbitrary).
I love watching Nage play too! They have some of the most godlike, consistent confirms off of Faust items/chaos! I try not to post duplicate replays that are already out there, or else there would've definitely been more Nage on the channel beyond this inaugural one. Thanks for watching & the appreciation!
I was previously under the impression minimum YT chapter length was 15 secs, so that was the reason for the intro length, but prompted by this reply I looked into it again and it's actually 10 seconds. They'll be ~10 secs going forward, thanks for the feedback!
I like how you link players socials, and highlight from where in the set you took the matches. From all the so called "replay vultures" i think you are by far the best one
