You’ll get the hang of the knives sooner or later or you just have to practice with them and it takes time. That’s how I carve with knives and then I use the Dremel for the bigger chunks I have to take off. I love “The Furry Robs”! I’m going to try it! Thanks for sharing 😎
Jordy no wonder your lungs are stuffed Mate alot of dust still flys up even with your desk filtration set up You still should wear a mask as well but I guess hard for you to talk and film Maybe film and do voice over We really don't want to see you sick All that been said You did a fantastic job on "little Rob's" Love them ❤
Little Robs are awesome!! i can't wait to see how that half face turns out!! thank you for the video! love the dremel carving videos for sure!!! Stay safe!!!
Makita sell the gda0800c/2 which says it will take 8mm collet so i presume this will take kutzall burs? Do you have some videos on different kutzall burs and how to use them to show what each one is capable of, as there are so many to choose from and im a little stuck please can you help. Many thanks
Those little carvings are hard to do! I’m finishing up my little Halloween carving right now, and it kicked my ass! Can’t wait to for the half face! Good stuff!!
I think this is one of your best carvings! Behr stain and poly all in one would be a good option. You just wipe on but don`t wipe off. It will cover up any blotchyness on the poplar wood. Paint on wood carvings doesn`t look right unless some of the grain is showing through in my opinion.
Yo, Jordy. Did you somehow have a picture of an old girlfriend of mine? Jeez, that is one scary and life-like witch. Paint? I don't know. You are the master. Let the witch tell you. Later, man. You are the best.
If it was me? I'd Shoi Suzi Ban her hat, hair & cloak to make that grain pop, (as Poplar is a very blonde toned wewd) that way it'll give the piece depth yet still be natural showing all the different directions of the grain, But WTF do I know 🤪. Or maybe use some wewd stain on those parts? In my opinion Its too good to just put paint on it cuz youd loose all that grain anyways , Hope all is good in your world bro 🤘
No paint, but possibly a transparent leather dye to add coloration yet save the grain. Specifically the hat and hair. Experiment on a similar piece of wood first. You did too nice a job to mess it up! DSYP😊
