In addition to fixing the talking tree, they should use some of that budget to bring back the home made pizza and ice cream as Adventureland's food has been steadily going downhill since the pandemic.
I agree. The only food I really ever eat at Adventureland are the snacks. Lunch & dinner I eat outside the park since there are so many good options available on Route 110.
@@East_Coaster_Fan It is frustrating because I been going to Adventureland since I was a child. Their food used to be GREAT! They had the best soft ice cream and the best pizza. Sometimes, in the off season, I would go there just to eat the pizza. But slowly things got worse and it started with the ice cream. They ended up getting Haggen Daz in, so that was okay, but it is overpriced. Then, since the pandemic, the rest of the food started going down hill, especially the pizza. Last time I was at the park (2023), they were using a FROZEN CRUST for their pizza. (...The horrors!) At any rate, I am opting out of Adventureland this year and going to Rye Playland instead. They are cheaper and I hear the food isn't that bad.
Hey I just went on a theme park road trip, saw Holiday world, cedar point, and kings island. If i do another out to the east cost, what are the top three parks you think I should hit?
Best of luck. Glad kids like you were finally able to get a true graduation after 2020. I'm certainly not in that industry, but from experience elsewhere, I'd work your best to try to find an internship at a type of company you'd like to work in. Those work experiences are key to gettin a foot in the door and having true working experience on your resume.
Thunderbird at Holiday World is a really solid ride. I’ve always been kind of “meh” on the other wing coaster I’ve been on, X-Flight at Great America. But T-bird has a solid launch, inversion, and the end is great.
Dude, that's amazing! Congratulations! Networking is one of the things I wish I did more of back when I was going through engineering school, and everything I've heard of that program sounds like an excellent way of taking that difficult step of getting your foot in the door.
I was one of the ride operators that operated the Pirate Ship back in 1987. I know for sure that is NOT the year they got it. It is more like 84 or 85. In terms of operation, it had a preprogrammed cycle, so no joystick. BUT it was on a timer, which you could easily change, however. I think the highest setting was 7 minutes , but it was normally set to about 3 minutes. It was a circular dial, with the time set by a knob on top. Given that the ride was in the back of the park, some operators took liberty of giving riders a long ride if there was no line, and let it run until someone had enough. By last year, the ride was showing its age and I am not surprised they got rid of it. I am more surprised about Adventure Falls as I remember how long it took them to find a full size log flume that would fit in the park. The flume came after my time in the park, by a coup!e of years. They used to have a mini golf course back there. As of now, I know they replaced.the Pirate ship with a Top Spin. As for the area where Adventure Falls was, I think.they are getting something that is a cross between a Disco and a roller coaster. I saw a picture of it, but not surprised 100% sure if that is what they are getting.

I'm sure I'm one of the few who feel this way, but I find Mr. Six to be annoying, too over-the-top, and pretty creepy, lol. I'm sure he's an awesome guy and very nice man. But the character he portrays, a bit cringy.
I'm always looking for new rides that actually make me not just excited but truly scared. This instantly became my new favorite when I went, it feels like you're gonna be thrown out of your seat. 10/10 terrifying and thrilling
Update: Cedar Point and Coastin’ By The Ocean are no longer happening, as I will be busy during that time. However, stay tuned for something cool in September! 😮
I’m glad they have another thrilling flat ride now, as well as a replacement for the pirate ship, but mannn I wish they sprung for something a little nicer, and something that felt a little more permanent. It looks very thrown together. I did marathon it for a bit though, and I had a lot of fun, so there’s that. If I ran the park lol, I’d buy a Larson drop tower, and maybe a bigger nicer topspin. And I wouldn’t have signed off on that weirdo disko ride. I’d either build a gravity group family coaster or another water ride.
I come here everyear and im going in two days and the new skywalk thing is sooooo fun! The first time going is scary though and then I wanted to go on it again and again!
@@East_Coaster_Fan skyrocket II could work to, it has a very compact footprint, if they do have comfort collars, who cares you get a upside down coaster anyway.
