The Tackle Express channel is about showing you the basics about lures and tackle with tips on how to use them. We will also be filming on the water showing different baits in the water, how they swim, how to use them, and us catching fish on them. It's painful to watch me on video because I stink at it, but most of the time I get the ideas behind the lure passed on to you. I have lot's of mess ups and it takes me several times just to do one simple video. I know in the future I'll get better at it so just bare with me. Soon I hope to have a behind the scenes video with all my mess ups patched together and hopefully you can laugh at my stupidity. Suggestions are always welcome so just send me an email at chad@tackleexpress.com. Thanks for watching.
Is a speed master 20 capable of being a sinker rig and knife jig setup for SoCal? If so what line would you put on it I was thinking 100 pound maxcuatro?
Not a fair comparison. Raptor is fully machined, much heavier drag, cast control, hard anodize, Made in USA, etc. Might have been better to compare Avet Raptor MC to Penn Torque. Fathom is a cheap import w/ cast aluminum
When you rewatch your videos do you focus on your voice or the music ? Bro I can’t focus on anything you say Had to cut you off early…. I hope it’s just me Otherwise it’s a tip !
Good evening, I'm just wondering if the tuna is available to get a circle hook down without filling the wight, of the sinker on the bottom rig ? " drop shot" were booking a trip this June 3 we're rockies for the most part any advice would be highly appreciated. Great fishing to you.... from Utah
@@cwally1994 plus the palomar is not stronger than most knots, including double uni, San Diego jam, double San Diego jam, regular uni knot, and double pitzen. I’m sure there’s more as well
Personally, I think the Avet Raptor is more versatile and is in a league of its own. It functions as a casting reel and jigging reel and for light trolling. Given a scenario where you’re jigging for BFT in the Northeast and fish are blowing up 40 yards from the boat. Rather than reach for a spinning set up, I can cast the 4-5oz jig to the blow up without worry about backlash.
Such a bold statement. Do you own both to make that comparison? I like Penn myself but the Avet Raptor is beefy baitcaste which makes it in a class of its own. Does the Torque have any brakes?
Avets are great reels with major water ingress problems. Ive had several penn fathoms recently they are excellent. Both avets ive had have had bearing grind, and water ingress. I use a much shorter rod, 6' 3" for slow pitch, and 5 ' 6" for mechanical jigging
I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ru-vid.comUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
I want to get into SoCal tuna fishing (I'm in Long Beach) but I don't have money for 3x rigs rn. What recommendations do you all have for a good all-around starter combo? Thanks!
almost all my stuff is penn, have an old truly "made in usa" version that's still going strong. couple newer "all metal" ones are nice, but not the same. few conventionals and kids battles. all nice, function fine, build quality decent enough, FOR THE PRICE. that's the big thing. i have an avet exw 50/2, and they really don't compare. they both can catch fish and reel up line, sure, but the avet is really another planet compared to penns. international more comparable, i just don't have one of those. love the avet, and the penns too.
Sorry about that, they are expected this month. We got a small delivery of the perch but it went fast. Keep checking back and follow us on Instagram and Facebook, we'll post it as soon as we get them in.
