The tritium tubes should be good for about 20-25 years. To my understanding, at that time, rather than replace the tubes, Ball’s practice is to replace the entire dial. If the tubes were only good for ten years, that round be a major letdown. That life span has forced me to pass on a couple of these which which I figure could be approaching twenty years old by now. Cool watch regardless
im getting mine today Fed EX I was told by my watch repair guy in Kona that Rolex tarnish from water and seiko do not I had a Daytona sold it and lost my vintage tuna diving but happy to say a sbbn031 is on the way today by 5pm yea
i have one and its only gained 1 second in 2 months , its quite amazing as i also have a bulova precisionist that is a high accuracy quartz and the seiko beats it , also the bulova battery life is reduced due to the high frequency
Hi bud I got one last week I can't get it to fit at all I'm in Durham England any advice? I don't want to ger the micro adjustable clasp on the 8900model
I’ve been considering this version. I was initially thinking of 42mm version, but from what I have been reading , it’s bezel is actually 40mm and wears smaller. What size is your wrist ? This fits you well. I have 7.5” wrist for reference myself. Should I consider the larger piece? Do you have any regrets on size ?
Wish the bezel was fluted but beautiful watch. I think I might go for the Tudor style. I was hoping that the released a remake of the prince this year but alas
I think this is one of the best watches for around $1000. I feel it beats the Oris Aquis, Sinn 104, Seiko SBDC051 and SBDC061 series. The only other watch around $1000 that challenges the CW C60 and C65 models is a Ball Fireman.
I’ve got this watch and totally love it, I wear it on the black rubber deployment strap so it’s a bit lighter and more comfortable to wear all day. A great watch that is versatile for any occasion 👌🏻
Isn't the sbdc061 a better option? It's auto, has similar dial design, and it's cheaper. Also, more versatile. I must admit though, I love the looks/uniqueness, and presence of this one.
Good video but wish you had showed the watch closer up. Your hands are taking up most of the space instead of the watch itself 🧐😉 Lovely looking watch! 👌🏻
Most people that say its just a quartz dont understand this 7c46 inhouse 7 jeweled quartz is special. Its a total in-house built movement specifically for the tuna. Hi-torque movement. Even the quartz crystal used is grown in house I believe. Lovely watch.
I can confirm it is gorgeous. Bought mine from Watches of Switzerland in Singapore, with a super good price. Just fits perfectly, not too thick and is stunning to see and look at. No other watch matches the long indices out there. Gnomon watches have the unique red second hand, but it is more expensive and I was not ready for this (small) eccentricity yet. But both versions are beautiful (and the lumes, it is just such as a good idea for prolonged low light exposure like in a long flight). Price is just unbeatable. Highly recommended !
