I believe this is the Top Gear Production teams final cut Clarkson and Hammonds version was for the show no way would it have worked in the Cinema. The Top Gear production staff actually stuck to the plot and this is the final version that they show you at the end of film in the show. That Jag still looks and sounds brilliant, that generation Focus was brilliant. Shame they didn't wait a few years later for the Focus RS
One of 3 best car chases in cop movies from the late Billy Friedkin along with the French connection and to live and die in LA. And yes the hunted also from Friedkin had a car chase too, but it was short. The rest of the chase was on foot. But still a good movie.
The 1000 yard stare The Driver gives the "driver" at the end is one of the sickest stare downs ever. He gives him the purse and he's small potatoes so the Driver lets him live. But The Driver is watching watching...the whole time. Just in case. It's so insane.
Best chase from the late Billy Friedkin along with the French connection and Jade. To me, the perfect trifecta car chase from the Billy Friedkin. Even though the hunted 2003 was good too and it also had a car chase, it was basically short and the rest of the movie was basically a foot chase fugitive and Rambo style. But a good movie like the other movies I mentioned and also blue chips with Nick nolte in 1994.
when I first saw this in the theatre... I connected with William Peterson's character... everything can still work out okay Johnny... it's gonna be bumpy... but we can get out of this... just keep it together would ya please?...
