How long does it take for your green papaya to ripen and is there any way to speed that process up?
@bjoernmalkmus7177
@bjoernmalkmus7177 6 дней назад
A much easier and faster method with a higher success rate is putting cuttings some 2 inches deep in water. Add a couple of drops of hydrogene peroxide to keep bacteria at bay, and optionally add a homeopathic dosis of fertilizer. No need to put a plastic bag, neither any kind of rooting hormone. Keep cuttings warm and in partial shade. Change water as soon as it starts to look somewhat cloudy (every 2 to 3 days). Most hybrids will start to form roots after some 14 days. The more difficult to root hybrids may need some 3 to 4 weeks. Once roots are about 2 to 3 inches long, they can be potted up in regular soil. In easier to root hybrids the success rate is close to or equal to 100%. And even difficult to root hybrids (especially very fancy ones with broken colors) will have success, which else would always fail if put directly in soil.

I have a papaya tree in my yard i live in the philippines. My first one ever. I moved here from the states. And there nothing has seeds in them. All GMO crap. I love it here. Everything has seeds in them. Thir seeds are so good to do a parasite meaning in your body. And that's what I am going to do with them and I am sharing them with family who also moved here. So excited ‼️ I can't wait.

Im sure it's a jackfruit yet it's not from an English country 🤣 it's from the Caribbean 🤣🤣
@biondisubbaiah
@biondisubbaiah Месяц назад
The Jackfruit is underrated, there r many types of jackfruits, the raw underripe fruit can b used to make curries, fries & even flour, the ripe fruit can be eaten after cutting out the outer layer which can b sticky in between, they also make icecreams & juice with it, also the tree is very strong & can also be used to make furniture, doors, windows & a lot more, the wood once polished looks yellowish orange.

Hi. Nice video and good information. However, it does not gain contain the information I am looking for. Lol...none of them do. What is the minimum height the papaya will produce fruit?
@bubblerings
@bubblerings 29 дней назад
Ahhh less than three feet, says a man.. about how to produce fruit early and short. His first flowers are at two feet. But, there is another way... If you have a Tall one, and Top it. The suckers that grow from the trunk can be Air Layered. Those can fruit very close to the ground, as they would do the same on the hacked tree. An air.layered cutting can be put into a large pot, and make fruit!🍀😊 - So, these branches being cut, here.. Can be rooted by Layering. Good luck!!
@bubblerings
@bubblerings 29 дней назад
SO... If you live where it freezes.. Hack one of your trees in summer. Air layer branches that are pencil thickness or bigger. When they root in the bags, pot them up, before freezes come. You will have the first fruit, Early next season!🎰🍻

Can you just propagate in the soil (non-pot)?. I have space next to the parent plants and I was going to try to snip, peel and stick in the soil. Should I use rooting hormone?

Thanks for the advice, from Australia. I have one in my garden and want to propagate it. Excellent videography. Looked gorgeous on my 27" iMac retina screen. The music background was highly appropriate and just the right volume. Skills. May I be cheeky and ask what camera you used?
