I have recently moved into a new home with these speakers (wifi) already installed, i followed all the instructions but can't get them to work. I have an android phone and can see the LAconfigure in my settings but it has a "no internet access" underneath it. Not sure where to go from here? Anything I'm missing????
Hello, there is something that I do not understand correctly, Sonos says that the range is between 4 and 8 ohms. If I connect 3 speakers in parallel, the resultant would be 2.66 ohms. I have seen that Sonos says that up to 3 speakers can be connected as long as they are from the Sonos brand... (unless the Sonos speakers have something in particular, it is not understood,,,)
Great Video !! Please keep making more such informative videos. I recently did a KEF Q150 Bookshelf speaker review on my channel. link for your suggestions and to learn from you, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IasdvlDNzJw.html
I’ve read reviews on Amazon that the SpeakerCraft are average sounding speakers. People criticizing the brand also say they are no where near the quality of Polk and Klipsch. What is your opinion sound quality wise comparied to other brands?
I appreciate your video. You just skimmed through the whole Sonos app. I find their app and set up one of the most complicated things I’ve ever had to do with technology. All I want to do is plug in a brand new Sonos amp to one stupid Sonos speaker. It says can’t find product. When you call their help area they’re closed. Their online help is brutal. If I could return all these horrible songs products I would
Hi, And not sure the problem you might be having here, i set up a new amp in my system last week and it took 20 secs to add in.. it really was very simple... the only reason sometimes people struggle is if changing router, then you need to factory re set all items (as they will think they are connecting to your old router) and re connect ... again very straight forward ... millions have no problem at all usually ..
I just want ceiling speakers for the surround speakers. I have the Monitor audio silver series 5.1 system with the diver fx, I want to get rid of the fx. I don't want to spend more than I need, the surrounds don't work very hard. What do you recommend?
Hi, I am not sure what you mean by 2 virtual rooms?.. the Lithe works a straight forward Master speaker then speaker cabled to a passive slave .. you can also pair upto 3 Masters to play as one Linked system ...
Thanks bro for information, I have two questions, 1. This amp works with apple tv 4th gen. 2. Which the difference a speaker 6 ohms vs 8 ohms,,, and i can put 1 pair of speakers 6 ohms, and 1 pair of 8 ohms?
If plugging more than a pair of speakers into the Sonos Amplifier then using 4 speakers the same rated 8 ohms is recommended .. this helps with loading and balance to the amp.. regards The Specialist Audio Company
hi, At present the WiFi speakers are not Google home or Amazon Compatible ..Lithe have a new model coming nearer Christmas (rrp roughly £5500 that will be added to he range to bring these options on board .. kind regards .. The Specialist Audio Company
hello there, i am thinking about buying 2 sonos ceiling speakers and amp for my kitchen, however, I would like to connect them to my tv so it can work with my sound system (soundbar and subwoofer) together. Once connected to the tv, can it work independently? I.E when watching tv the ceiling speakers + sound system are working together and playing the audio from the TV? Or when I want to use the kitchen speakers only to listen to music, am I able to do so?
Hi Marv, For the bathroom there really is only one option the Lithe ceilingspeakerworld.co.uk/search?q=lithe+ip44&_=pf&pf_t_feature=BY%20TYPE_Bluetooth this is a fabulous product we sell daily with loads of very datisfied customers ..
You can Bluetooth audio from a Tv to the Bluetooth ones and then adjust the level of the RCA input via the BT app. With the WiFi ones you would need to use the aux inputs and then you'd control the volume via the WiFi app
I want to run 6 speakers on the Sonos amp but my dealer said it would damage the amp, All the speakers are 8ohms and the same make but your video claims it can need some advice please.
I gave it 5 stars lnfo.help/SonosAmp?ó because it does a great job at what it was designed to do. I have it connected to a pair of Klipsch Forte speakers. The sound quality is quite good, plenty of volume, and now my speakers are in the Sonos system (7 other Sonos speakers in the house).
So I just installed 2 ceiling speakers and sent the wires down to the tv area and was wondering if I can use this Sonos amp to transmit to them thru Bluetooth? Or do I still need an amplifier???
If installed passive speakers you will need an amplifier, Sonos does not offer Bluetooth, you would connect your TV to it thro a HDMi cable.. the nthe speaker cable from amp to speakers .. regards
Hi, And thank you for the enquiry, with the new Sonos Amplifier you certainly can run 4 x C280 off the one amp, and as you suggested going for either the C280IDc, or C380IDC would be a serious upgrade on an already excellent speaker .. all info is on our website ceilingspeakerworld.co.uk/ regards
The Specialist Audio Company Limited that’s awesome. Thanks for the reply. What type of cable would you recommend? I’m a complete newb to this. We are building a decent sized extension in a couple of months time so can’t wait to get these bad boys in. I’ll be in contact nearer the time I’m sure
HI, These are very good, but the choice of ceiling speakers is huge.. Will be honest as have not listened to the Focal Speakers so cannot make a judgment, but he Sonance Sonos are very good. There is also a good choice of alternatives from the likes of Speakercraft, kef and Monitor Audio etc to consider .. www.ceiling-speakers.co.uk/collections/ceiling-speakers .. regards
Please I have some strong advice that need have with you can you have your telegram or WhatsApp contact here is my +233202177598 I am building my house so I really need you. Thanks see you
hi, yes you can mix Old and New Sonos components, the only thing is that the new amp will work on the software as per the old products.. the main thing is the new amplifier is a significant HiFi upgrade on previous models ..regards
Yes, you can put them in the wall, however some of those brands also make square grilles which are meant for speakers installed in-wall. In that case, the actual speaker is the same, only the grille changes. We occasionally ship to the US but I'd suggest you get in contact with a US-based retailer, it'd be more convenient
Hi there, the Sonos Amp cannot provide surround sound on it's own and doesn't support Dolby Atmos, however two can be used in conjunction with a Sonos Sub to create a 4.1 channel surround sound system, with a 'phantom' centre speaker. If you would like further information or to discuss a project please do contact us via email or telephone.
how do you connect 3 pairs of speakers in the back of the songs? I only see room for 2 pairs. Does 3 pairs=3 zones? That's what I'm trying to do. Basically an amp I can connect to 3 pair of speakers that are in 3 different rooms. The app and set up seems so easy and quality amazing
Hi Julien, they will have to be wired in parallel, you can see a diagram on this link from Sonos: bit.ly/amp-6-speakers. You can put the speakers in 3 rooms however they will play at the same volume and from the same music source, so theoretically that would still be 1 zone only. 1 Sonos Amp = 1 zone, we wrote a blog post about how multi-room/ multi-zone systems work, you can read about it here: bit.ly/multi-zone-guide
I just purchased the Sonance garden speakers, sub and SR2-125 Amp, I now need a source to be able to connect to the amp which I have 8 speakers and a sub connected to it to be able to stream music from my iPad, would this be my best option even though I already have an SR2-125 Amp?
So, if you already have an amplifier you wouldn't need the Sonos Amp but the Sonos Port, which is basically a music streamer and works with AirPlay2. www.sonos.com/en-gb/shop/port.html. Another option would be the Heos Link but if you are looking for the cheapest solution than the Google Chromecast Audio with RCA or optical cable should work. (it's discontinued but you can find it used online).
Can you split the amp between two rooms? For example put two speakers in the dining room and another two in the bathroom and have them play at different volumes
You can place speakers in different rooms thanks to the dual mono feature. However you won't be able to control the volume of each room independently with the Sonos amp alone. You might be able to achieve that using additional volume control devices for each room. The guy in this video explains it in more details: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k2cDs0i8ucY.html If you would like more information email us at sales@ceiling-speakers.co.uk
What do you think about the Sonance Professional Series 4in for a kitchen? I will have them running on a Sonos Connect with the rest of the Living Room is running on the Sonos Amp as there are 4 speakers. FYI - the kitchen and living room are basically 1 very large room. Just found you guys on youtube.com - love the channel...well done.
I believe the Sonance Professional series speakers are primarily designed for commercial use, as it's stated on their website. You still have the option of setting them to 8-ohm to be used in a residential project, however, it's not a popular choice for kitchen/living room set up. Can I ask you how did you come up with this idea?
@@TheSpecialistAudioCompany Just using them for low volume ambient music in the kitchen. I'm using Klipsch in-ceiling speakers for the rest of the living room as they will be their own zone and be used for regular music listening - along with Klipsch outdoor speakers. I had the Sonance Professional speakers from a separate project and thought they would preform well in a smaller area with minimal music requirements.
@@bnel1313 Oh ok. Yes! in this case it does make sense. If you have them you might as well use them, especially considering you already have a pretty good set up you for the rest of your home!
