Hey guys its Ian here, I met you in Ireland at the Powers Potter campsite. Iv been following along on your adventures and have total envy, wish I was still travelling. Glad you both safe after the accident, love the shot at the end of the video, there no better medicine lol.
Hi Ian! We’re both a little sore today but I think a day of walking around Paris may have something to do with that too. We were sooooo lucky in many respects. If we had lost traction before heading away from the roundabout we’d had been under someone’s car. Sorry we didn’t get to reconnect in N.Ireland.
The CO shutoff system is a critical safety feature which can help to prevent the risk of sudden illness and death resulting from the accumulation of undetected CO, which is an odorless, colorless gas impossible for the human senses to detect. The health and safety of our customers remains our top priority and we recommend discontinuing any use of this product without a functioning CO shutoff system.
Then don't sell a product that requires servicing after having paying hundreds of dollars! Do you think I want to have to pay to have mine serviced every month because of this problem? No! People shouldn't be so stupid as to run it in an enclosed area or you should fix the problem...better yet offer free servicing for it every time it needs it! I'm sitting in 100 degree weather with a new generator that doesn't freaking work! Thanks harbor freight! You used to be my favorite store in the world! Not anymore! So I will take this advice before we die of heat exhaustion instead of carbon monoxide! 🤔
I get it. We’re visiting Ireland right now. Their rural roads scream “don’t be a little b!tch” No guard rails, one lane wide, traffic in both directions, a 60 mph speed limit that, if you could find a straight section, would be certain death in the corners.
What were some of the highlights of your journey just west of Cork, Ireland, and did you encounter any unexpected surprises along the way? Also, are you on Facebook / Insta? I'd love to connect and hear more about your European adventures and insights! Let's keep in touch!
We’re bigbluehauler on instagram and Travis Mattson on Facebook. Unexpected surprises were the tiny one lane two direction roads with crazy high posted speed limits. No one was driving as fast as the speed limit. Absolutely amazing scenery. Fun helpful people. For me highlights are almost always the people we meet and the stories they tell.
What I looked up said they must have been bunkers for the monks to retreat too. Bad shape for a bell tower I think. Also says the doors on the towers always face the west facing door of the church they were near.
Thanks so much for sharing!! Being a stone mason, the castle was my favorite thing to see. I can’t even imagine the effort it took to build such an amazing structure.
You’d love the Fastnet lighthouse that’s in SW Ireland . All the granite blocks were designed to dovetail into the ones around it. Like a big interlocking puzzle.
Kinda pisses me off this CO¹ sensor isn't an optional thing with a switch to disable it. Just because 1 dumb vanlife liberal democrat died by not venting properly shouldn't mean 10 million people have to suffer sensor malfunctions... 🙄
Great video, in mine I used a piece of paper clipper cut it into two three side rectangles and then inserted them into white / green and black/white tape each to separate them and then taped the whole connector without cutting any wires. Its been working fine for the last few hours. Done.
Agree completely with the theory but not sure how you came up with your wiring bypass, plus my problem was a different brand, a Wen 3600 inverter generator, it has the CO watchdog. Any way I found the sensor and the placed a piece of tape over the actual area within the sensor that attempts to “inhale” the air around it. After taping I placed the generator in a placed it in a trailer for 30 min, a 10’ job trailer with all the doors sealed shut. Ran great!
I did the mod on my 3500 Predator and now my generator only runs 18 seconds and then shuts off. What I ended up doing is to remove the CO sensor, thoroughly cover the sniffer holes with electrical tape, undo the bypass (sure glad I used the blue connectors) and now it runs great!
I did this and it did disable my CO sensor, but it created a problem with my starter. When I turn of the generator I hear a constant groaning noise from inside the generator without the motor running. I unhooked the battery and it stopped. Also notice that electric start button would not function now either. I disconnected the senor cut the brown and black, green and white, and then spliced those pairs together using a wire nut. What could be the cause?
So you picking up the HD after June 10. Are you planning any riding days in UK, relatives or sites? To be on the safe side maybe getting a international drivers licens. Also make sure your phone allow replacement of SIM Cards in different European countries. Sprint phones for instance does not allow you to switch. Check it out or purchase a cheap one when over here. 🏍
My predator generator is outside. Nothing to obstruct it and the co2 sensor cuts it off all the time. I put a box fan in front of it to keep it running. That works. I hadn't thought of bypassing the sensor. Now I will.
