Avoid gannet by all means, buy a swell pro. I have had a gannet pro max for 3 years and have had issues with the calibration, issue with the skydrone app (app hasn’t worked in 2.5 years) and the most issues just getting technical help from gannet. Matt use to work for gannet and he was great, but he soon left after I purchased my drone. I have a shark trip in 3 weeks and can’t get it calibrated and I have messaged gannet many times with no response.

This company sells junk that doesn't work when new and then harasses customers for reviews and when you tell them their products are junk all they do is direct you to different customer service agents that make promises and then do nothing. They are scammers. Don't buy their ripoff products.

Very nice and easy to use solution! But I would like to know if it is possible to invert the release function, so it is locked when the landing light is off, and releases when you turn the lights on? Because if you have to stay in the air for a long time, or need to fly a certain distance, the having the lights on will drain the battery faster.
It automatically can reverse, the trigger works both ways round. If you power it up with the lights on and then turn the lights off it will release. If you power it on with the lights off and then turn them on it will also release.
It's more a fail safe system than a electronic one. It's a bit to late after i ordered a electronic one and decided to make my own from parts i purchased that releases just with tension of the line. My two balls pushing against each others prevents the line from falling through lol.
That was long ago done with the original Gannet servo and pin type release, we discontinued that one maybe 4 years ago and replaced it with the Gannet X, also a servo but with a rotating pin hook that can unhook if the line gets stuck. Since then we added the now very popular “mechanical” ball release copied by many, the Gannet Sport and also the Gannet XSport that is both ball and servo all in one. See dronefishing.com
No, it clips over the lens, but you do need to remove the prop guard filler that DJI has at the en of the arms, where they normally fit the prop guards
the app just crashes. When you disable wifi on your phone it opens but it does not detect the drone even though the phone is paired via Bluetooth with the controller. Help!
Dont buy dji, and do not use DJI of any sort for fishing. My mavic 3 cine had software glitch, plummeted into ocean, line broke, 5k drone gone, DJI is not taking responsibility, blaming pilot error, they stated "its not allowed to carry any weight with it" i carried less than 100 grams of weight, some how drone thought i was on land and black box data showed it forced landing, but it didnt show on my rc controller any forced landing, it just changed its flight into vertical trajectory and spirallled down into the ocean. Dji response "We consulted our engineer, he told us that the aircraft added foreign objects at this flight, which could affect the Ultrasonic, it was active all the time and has a small value even when the aircraft reaches high altitudes. The aircraft will recognize it is still on the ground, the TOF height was 0m, after the pilot pulled down the throttle stick, Near Ground Landing was triggered and the aircraft landed to the water in the end" Which is not true, my rc controller didnt gave me any alarms for forced landing and ive flown my drone many times before, at many different places and used for fishing before, it did not land in water, it literally changed trajectory into vertical position and spiralled down rotating into ocean
