When you think of American police, you either think of the LAPD on the west cost or the NYPD on the east coast. Somehow, the LAPD just seams to stand out more. The LAPD is the largest dept in the country in terms of geographic area served, but smallest big city dept in terms of officers vs that same geographic area.

Really like their utility uniforms. Seem very comfortable and a lot more operational compared to the wool uniforms. It should be an optional wear all year not just during the lockdown.👍
FYI most lapd street patrol officers (including Sergeants) are not wearing that uniform. EXCUSE: "the uniforms are on back order" which means, it wasn't/isn't required to have at least 1 'utility' uniform from start. I hope the public understands the RISK of getting the virus if coming in contact with LAPD! I record the police, mostly harbor division and I was just out recording them this morning to see how they are responding with this current virus threat- if they are practicing all the appropriate measures to stay safe, and so they don't spread the virus...I recorded 1 incident and I was done- because they had NO SAFETY PROTOCOLS BEING USED (except 1 officer i saw using sanitize wipes!) and I wasn't going to risk exposure on another stop/call/incident. AGAIN LAPD harbor division IS SHOWING NO SIGNS OF RESPECT FOR THIS PANDEMIC....

The premise of gun control is that a potent government law enforcement arm will protect its citizens and enforce all laws. This is no longer the case under these extraordinary circumstances. Since we cannot fulfill our responsibility to enforce all laws, which frankly is not our fault, it would be unjust to prevent our residents from protecting themselves...on a temporary basis--until COVID--19 is at bay.

LAPD IS NOT PERFECT yes, they just need to do the most simple guideline 1. Wear a mask at all times and keep their distance when dealing with people. Watch all the videos of cops not doing so.

Eric Rivera was killed by 2 of the most incompetent cops; the driver forgot to put the car in park- so as the car was rolling towards eric, eric did what most humans would do when something is coming for them, he put both hands up, as a natural reaction- and since the car was rolling, the passenger side door, swung a little tapping the other officer who immediately thought he was SHOT, and they both fired on him! 11 shots, 7 hitting his body 1 straight to the head. His lifeless body then crushed and pinned under the police car. The car was left on for over 30mins, burning into Erics chest and chin... and nothing to say about Kenneth French and Salome Rodriguez, Jr? what about: Elizabeth Tollison, Melyda Corado? It's clear you are standing behind whether they were 'convicted' of murder- but the simple fact is- Los Angeles DA Jacky Lacy hasn't convicted an officer in any department for murder in 17+ years. In almost 2 decades NO OFFICER SHOOTINGS ARE UNJUSTIFIED?! NO WAY! Police officers have qualified immunity, so its no surprise they have no accountability.
