Hi Sara, I’m looking to buy a new spinning wheel for my birthday. I’m 4’10.5” short and I’m wanting a lightweight double treadle SW. I’ve been looking at a Louet Victoria, an Ashford Joy2, a Majacraft Little Gem and a Lendrum. You said it can have an orifice height that’s higher for you and shorter for shorter folk. How low can the orifice height be, please? And, if you have other insights, I’d be most grateful to read them. Many thanks, in advance. Yours in Gratitude
Thanks for this video. I’m in the market for a small (because I’m only 4’10.5” in height), folding SW (preferrably) that’s also light in weight and that can spin lace weight. The Joy only goes to 14:1 and while the Louet Victoria has 13:1 built in, you can add a 20:1 whorl for lace weight. It was good to see those 2 SWs side by side - very helpful. Yours in Gratitude

Hello! I found your channel by a search for this Ashford loom, and subscribed. I share fiber arts and other creative things on my channel, and am branching out into weaving. I believe I will enjoy this loom very much. Thank you for sharing such lovely inspiration. A beautiful feast for the eyes! Xo, Mimi
can you please show how to thread it up? I'm a little confused at the parts and instructions mine came with. There is no hole to vice grip the loom...also not sure which bit faces where :-)
When transporting a Lendrum one should always have it locked down! I didn’t, when I took mine to Ireland, and the hinge was bent, even though I had it packed in a Samsonite suit case!
