Man, I've been wanting to play Diablo 1 ago for so long after many years, seems like this is the definitive best way to do it nowadays, so glad to see so much love still being poured into the game! You mentioned mods and I was thinking of trying out Beelzebub, there shouldn't be any conflicts between DevilutionX and Beelzebub right?
It’s definitely a great way to play! I believe there’s been a million updates since I released this video as well (haven’t played since then). As far as combining, I’m not sure. Years ago I know it wasn’t possible from what I saw on forums.
This game hooked me back in the day - as my 1st venture into this type of game as a whole. Grinder is a great description, and me being a neophyte I spent hours just trying to get stronger and collect $. I never succeeded in beating it but it was time we'll spent. That face on face battle stuff, no measure how many times the brutes were defeated or opposite _ kept me pinned. And as process, the bigger nastier ones kept me edged. It's a good game - thanks for bringing it back on a cool and educated review.
Somber melancholy haunts, Nigel Hogge as the Narrator backdrop, the Mystic Jewel, and the Tarantino First slash. Vandal Hearts had me hooked from start to finish.
Hans was always my least favorite Shining Force character because he never seems to get any stronger, even when we would grind his levels. He frustrated my brother so much that one playthrough he intentionally got Hans killed right away at the beginning and left him dead the entire game. Every time the priest offered to revive him we'd act indignant that he'd charge us 10 coins for such a useless character.
Yeah, definitely a good game! Just didn't stick with me like the Genesis counterparts. That being said... I STILL need to play Scenarios 2 & 3 haha. One day soon, hopefully.
Their also hasn't been a NEW Wild arms game on consoles for like 20 + years wild arms 3 to 5 and Alter Code F are ALL PS2 games AND ONLY Wild arms 1 to 3 got a PSN port to play ON the PS4/PS5 not the others.
Yeahhhhh, two of my parties are SO SLOW/have no movement, haha. I think I need to split someone up to give them range. Thankfully though it's been insanely easy, so it didn't bite me in the butt yet.
i keep spamming the hell out of your comments, so i'm just gonna put the rest of them under this same comment tree going forward. anyway, at 5:20:52, i'm remembering/realizing now just how much time you spend with your hometown buddies in this game. kind of a nice change of pace, seeing how in most '90s RPGs either you'd swiftly ditch all your early game friends or they'd all be dead by the end of the first major plot point lol
this video is exactly what i want from an LP: chill vibe, no sibilance, reading every text box out loud, not trying to voice-act each character differently (let’s players tend to be bad VAs). thanks! i’ll definitely be checking out the rest of your channel

Haha, the uniuni dragon transformations definitely have the cutest sprites. It's a shame their attacks miss so much, but I kinda get the gimmick with it being easy to hit that upgrade path in the first place.
@@HOLEheregonenowsurprisingly I don’t mind it! The only area I’m not a fan of is Stonefang. Just doesn’t do it for me, too bland. I also hate the Dragon God haha.
@@HOLEheregonenow I am also someone who enjoys the Valley of Defilement, Blighttown, the Gutter and Farron Keep. That's one of my favorite parts about the games, lots of differing areas/bosses & opinions!
wow, it’s crazy. I wasn’t every JRPG has a dragon ball reference of some sort. The guys that 80s games over there really worship Akira Toriyama and I don’t blame him much respect and RIP to Akira Toriyama… good review of a great game too by the way
Crystal Lizard spawns are tied to the amount of bosses you have killed in that given world. Every time you kill a boss it resets all the spawns in that world. The loot they drop is tied to Luck stat as well as world tendency, with Pure Black world tendency yielding better loot.
Honestly didn’t know that, lots of the Demons Souls mechanics are foreign to me despite having beat it a number of times haha. The only thing I know about is manipulating world tendencies and such
@@HOLEheregonenow I can totally see why! It's super unique and out of the modern library, definitely has the most retro-style feel. Personally, it's still my least favorite (but I still give it like an 8/10). Though I appreciate it a bit more having replayed it recently. Playing it on the PS3 emulator with the better framerate & load times was a godsend. Not a huge fan of the art style of the remake, even though it technically looks amazing.

Haha, awesome. Thanks for watching! I plan on making some more videos similar to this in the future for other FromSoft games. Actually had the itch to go back to the Demon's Souls remake soon after I finish my Elden Ring challenge run.
This video randomly popped up on my feed and i love this game! Awesome job going through Floor 5. Honestly one of the most trolly floors in the game period, and i assume this is a first time playthrough, but in my most recent playthrough, i found out that you can just use the sword of light as an item for free BOLT 3 casts, on top of that, it NEVER breaks and saves MP fairly well, best of all you can slap that in pyra's Inventory and BOLT away. Still though, awesome effort
RNG = Random Number Generator. Lots of high end speedruns revolve around manipulating the game's RNG, creating ideal scenarios for you at lower levels/earlier times.
Has always been one of my favorite games of all time. My mum bought it for me when i was like 9 at a block buster whi was selling it for 5 bucks! I intend to get a hack version for my snes mini coming this week!

i came here to say great video and i know a lot of people hate gong but I have him in every playthrough. Some tlc like you said makes him better he becomes strong and a decent healer. Thanks for the video
