I wasn't interested in this movie but when I realized Martin Sheen was in it I immediately watched it. Marty Sheen and Marky Mark in the same movie?? I never knew I needed that, but I did.
"I'm the guy who couldn't act his way out of a wet sack if his life depended on it. You must be the other guy." You could have taken any one of about a thousand guys off the street in Boston and had them put on an angry face and say angry words in an exaggerated Dorchester accent and they would have been better than this imbecile.
I'm in the camp of this movie being extremely misunderstood. People watch it for the memes, but if you go into it serious and straight, it's a fascinating watch discerning its themes about misogyny and narcissism. Cage is unironically fantastic
I remember when this came out and thinking that Seth Green was SO FINE on this movie lmao idk why because I never thought that way about him on none of his previous roles and the roles after this movie but this role he was really attractive to me for some reason lol.
The original script for Commando was meant to be a solemn serious action drama. Arnold and the director said F THAT and decided to let loose. Now we have this classic :D
Prey is way better than you're saying. Sounds like you're reading too much into the politics. Its not like Native American society wasn't patriachal and probably would have underestimated a female hunter. Agree with your top 3 though.
