BWV 998 is not written for the harpsichord, in fact a similar instrument called Lautenwerk, imitating the sound of the lute much like the mute mode of the Harpsichord but more plucky as the guitar.
@@MajistaPheres I really like the fact that you mention this bizarre instrument. The original scores are for lute or harpsichord stated on the actual manuscript. It really makes sense because Only Bach owned the instrument you mentioned. As far as I known he had 3 of them build for him. (?).I can't actually tell if was first a cembalo piece transcribed then for lute or it was intended in first place for lute. The writing style actually is for keyboard instrument. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prelude,_Fugue_and_Allegro_in_E-flat_major,_BWV_998. The Only thing I wanted to mention actually is that the prelude fugue allegro is not the third lute suite.
@@steliostziogkidis3782 to be really fair, Bach never wrote for the lute. And I also learned it after some while that those were written for the keyboard, thinking the sound of the lute. If you try interprete on the lute you can't actually play it, harmonically and position wise the original piece doesn't match with the lute structure. These should be considered as lautenwerk pieces rather than the lute.
Thank you so much. I was being told it sounded someone randomly pressed buttons in software and such... What's your opinion on it? Also does it seem it's not atonal and follows some kind of pattern? Cheers.
@@MajistaPheres It's definitely not atonal - it's entirely diatonic! And it doesn't sound random either, it's a clearly constructed piece. But it depends what you are aiming to achieve with this piece. It doesn't sound totally baroque to me, since the harmonic progressions and cadences aren't typical of that period. But does it work as a piece? Yes it does!
thank you so much. when i started composing this piece i was unaware of some things like cadences and forms now i've been learning some tonal voice leading and i believe i can compose better. Now composing for the cello. Making a cello suite. i will upload it soon! I hope you like that one too!@@GregHarradineComposer
I followed it nicely. I liked what you did with the percussion. Never crossed my mind to check for house loop samples. The track became alive after you did that. Keep the videos coming. It's hard to find good trance videos online
Don't worry if you practice every day and slowly with metronome you will eventually get better than me. Now I am waiting for my new hand-made 7string guitar!
its close to the sound hole. It's all about the angle of your nails which produces the tone of your guitar. Also my guitar is kinda cheap, if I had a better guitar it would have sounded much better.
I admire your discipline. I've tried to teach myself guitar as well without this amount of success (but also without consistent practice), so it's clear you put lots of work into learning.
Wow, excellent progress. I found an inexpensive acoustic guitar at a garage sale a few weeks ago but my progress trying to learn how to play on my own has been really slow…LOL.
