Great seminar on machine learning and recent advancement in its application in plant physiology and vegetation management.....kudos to Glenn and all his students for continually pushing the boundaries of data modelling capabilities in plant biology. #AMustWatch
The Tierberg LTER has provided critical insights into the dynamics and ecological functioning of the Karoo. Thanks to you, Sue and to Richard for leading the decades-long research programme at the site and the whole team involved in this video production. Watching the video makes the site come alive for those interested in long-term research.
Thank you Sue for sharing your encyclopaedic knowledge of the Karoo and practical experimental insights with us all. Lovely also to see Bertus explaining how the nursery contributes to the restoration efforts of Renu-Karoo. I look forward to watching many more videos from you in the series.
So Karoo shrubs are somehow acting as fire protection compared to dry grassland :) I love the florid shrubs in February. So grazing animals keeping the grass short are also fire protectors and indirectly saving shrubs from being killed by fire ?
