@@JerichoPatrick Thank you for the fast response! :) What power zoom lenses do you recommend for this camera? I think the smooth zoom option is one of the many benefits of FX30. Also - if I take these two manual Sigmas, is it possible (and does it make sense) to control the zoom function through the follow-focus system for better zoom smoothness and convenience?
@user-jr9dt8tm7r hmmm hard questions because I’m not super familiar with power zooms but they have a pretty limited scope of power zooms from what I know. As far as follow focus zooming I have no idea but I’d say why not give it a try I bet it will at least give you something that stands out as different at sometimes that’s the best option
@@JerichoPatrick Are these Sigma lenses parfocal? As far as I have researched, if the lenses are not parfocal, then there is no point using zoom while filming (crash zoom).
I have a love-hate relationship with this printer. Mostly hate. It has a lack of flexibility. Its border is too big, cannot be changed, and make the photo too small. Or it will cropped out part of the photos with borderless. I have to work with Windows software and Android app to get a small border I want, and it is not uniform. Try printing it in Linux, and you see a lot of problems. There is small line coming in some Canon ink. The size of the compartible paper caused major headache in customization and print preview. I resort to using Memory Card and crop with the printer screen to guarentee more control. I want to use this thing for travelling but I don't know if there is available paper size and ink cartidge in the country I'm visiting. Have to order online, instead of available cheaper photo paper lying around. A third of what i printed so far, is experimenting trying to get to a suitable result. I wasted 10 dollars. Overall, it is not for serious photography. It is an expensive test printer for smaller print, before sending to a lab for bigger one. There's happen to be no alternative in the market for what I need. Epson only alternative used inkjet cartridge. Its photos are great but Canon printers are more expensive with its consumable ink and paper.
I have Canon Selphy CP1300 and at this time when I saw this video I was printing photos of my last walk and still printing :) I bought Selphy CP1300 couple of years ago, but it was quite less in use. Then I started doing film photography and I started to print some photos after I started develop film at home. Now I bought a new camera (well, 10 year old but new for me) I have printed every day some photos from my daily shootings. It just gives soooo much value to see those in paper. I also now shoot only JPG on my hobby shootings and I do not any kind of cropping etc. on cellphone to these photos. So much more straightforward and more authentic, then I can see more easy way if my cropping is bad etc. if I print them.
The both of you are more inspiring than you know. But I have to say it's nice to see it through your perspective. You are a deep thinker, but not in the way where you need to tell people things... in a very genuine human way. The moment in the car when you have to take the detour, where you are expressing what alot of us probably feel sometimes; is very comforting. Please continue to share your unique experience. @@JerichoPatrick Most of the images I've seen from the Zf so far have this clinical, digital look to them; yours are the 1st I've seen that look really organic, close to film. Keep it up! 🙌
Nikon: only two groups of people use them. Wildlife photographers and 60+ dudes who have a Nikon DSLR dangling around their neck with the stock strap as they’re walking around town. That’s the stereotype that comes to my mind, and I’ve seen it confirmed quite a few times. :D Other than that: Nikon makes extremely good cameras that can easily compete with the more popular brands and models, but nobody buys them. Because... reasons. According to Gerald Undone, Nikon actually has the most accurate colors on the current market.
@@JerichoPatrick Totally. I got started with Sony E-Mount, so it’s what I stuck with. And it makes sense for me because I love the A7C series. But as a film shooter, I was tempted by the Zf, and the Z6 III... unbelievable value! I’m kinda surprised it’s not touted as an A7SIII killer.
@@JerichoPatrick Makes sense. When I heard about the readout speed, I was kinda bummed. :D Rolling shutter on the A7C II is atrocious and legitimately makes some types of shots impossible... while Nikon may not be "sexy", if the tool does the job, that’s sexy enough for me.

I shoot weddings, where good street photography skills definitely come in handy. Even though it’s arguably an easier setting because people know you’re there and that you’re going to take photos, no matter what. But I should work more on overcoming my street photography anxiety and finally get out there! =)

I just received my purchase today, and it addresses a rather unique issue I face as an amateur photographer in a small town. Living about 25 minutes away from the nearest print shop, which is Walmart, it can take up to two hours to get my prints. Considering the travel and wait time, even if it's slightly cheaper per print, it doesn't seem sensible to make the trip. This printer eliminates that hassle; I can simply take it out, print, and there it is-immediately in front of me. For those living closer to a Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart, it probably makes more sense to have prints done there, especially for simple prints to display on the wall. Nevertheless, I'm eager to see how well it performs over time.
