Ya'll gonna hate me, for saying this, but I think the RIP comments are pathetic. You didn't thank him when he was here. Moreso, you didn't morn the death of the great composer of the series, who made all the great songs. He died a few years before him. Akira didn't make a masterpiece, nor did he make all of it on his own, yet he's the only one being cried over. That's weak to me. It's also nothing special. It's a memorable show, but still just an anime with alot of unfun stereotypes, just like the rest. It won't last.
Even though dragon ball wasnt a deep part of my childhood and became a huge fan late into my childhood... this franchise means so much to me. Thank you Toriyama-san for making this amazing world of dragon ball and inspiring me to do art. ❤
I remember when I was a kid and used to watch DBZ. This song was used after Cell was defeated, in Majin Buu's saga. I remember spending weeks and weeks waiting for Buu's "revival" to see how the monster looked like, it felt forever. When it finally woke up, I was like... that's it? It was so different to anything else. Akira Toriyama was a master genius.
Hironobu Kageyama to me, is like LiSa. His voice is instantly recognized and it adds so much personality to all of his songs. It’s with a saddened heart but nothing but happy memories and a smile that is left on my face from the wonders of what Toriyama did for me during childhood and adulthood. RIP Akira Toriyama. Forever missed and loved.
What if in an alternate timeline, Budokai 1 was about OG Dragon Ball? While Budokai 2 was about Z. And Budokai 3 about GT. All with story cutscenes like in 1, but with 3D models from 2 & 3. And with 3 released for the Gamecube. And if the Gamecube versions had optional Japanese audio? How'd the trilogy have been like?
