Hi Andrew. The coastal path which runs along the seafront passes directly in front of the airport runway...its quite a popular spot to sit and watch the planes land and depart. It's about 5 to 10 mins walk from the main promenade of Matagorda. Many thanks for watching and commenting on our video🙏
Can I just say thank you ( Your videos are brilliant. ) loved the Chinese and Indian Restaurants that are in the Video. I have booked for Puerto del Carmen in October. For 2 weeks. But will certainly visit Matagorda during my stay.( as I said in a previous video by you ) P. S. If I like what I see might consider moving to Lanzarote full.🌞👍👍P. S. Just noticed the shot with the breakfast you where eating ( that's a must.)
I have never been to Lanzarote before but I am going their for 2 to 3 weeks in October after I get my Hip Surgery in 23rd of July ( 2024.) Some recovery them am of to Costa Teguise. Thank you for this video and Info.🌞👍👍P.S. Brilliant Video thank you
as we are planning a vacation in Thailand early december or februari, your video is certainly helpful. Thanks. But we wanted to eat out more out of the hotel as we used to do in other countries. I just have one question, should we make reservations at restaurants? or is finding a table no problem?
Hi Ronald. Many thanks for watching and commenting on our video. We were in Khao Lak during January and generally didn't have any issues finding tables in the local eateries. We tended to eat out early evening which was less busier than later on. I believe December is busier in Khao Lak and February is a little less so. There are so many restaurants in the area you can always find somewhere to eat anyway. The local Bang Niang market is usually the busiest place for eateries but we'll worth investigating. Have a wonder holiday whenever you decide to visit....its a wonderful part of the world.
Good evening, thanks for posting the video, can I ask a couple of questions, first of all is the town , restaurants nearby? How is the weather in late June?
Hi Nick. Thanks for watching our video. There are a few bars and restaurants to the right of the hotel on the main road at the bottom of the hill which leads upto the main town. It's a fairly steep climb up into the town centre where there a many more places to eat and drink....maybe a 20 minute walk, but there are buses which you can catch from the bus stop directly opposite the hotel entrance. The buses are very regular and cost just a few Euros and you can use the same bus ticket again for free within 2 hours of purchase......You may be interested in our Travel Turtles video Mellieha Town Walk-through in which we film the complete walk from the town down the hill to the beach adjacent to the Seabank hotel. Regarding the weather, June should be a very pleasant time to visit the area with plenty of sunshine and temperatures hovering arou d the 28 degree mark....We hope this has helped answer some of your queries.
I was at Lizard village last Friday, 5th of July. It was not clear and sunny like that. It was murky and wet. I couldn't face putting up my damp tent in a wet field so I treated myself to a room at that Inn. The village reminded me of Port Stanley in the Falklands.
When we stayed here, all ages were welcome, but there was an adults only pool area on the roof of the hotel. It may have changed since we visited. Thanks for watching 😊
In terms of our experience in Sal, we were unfortunately followed by a local man on a walk from the hotel to the local town of Santa Maria. It's highly likely that he was about to attempt to steal our camera or attack us, so we had to flee and turn off the device. Other parts of Sal were poverty stricken, so although the island is absolutely stunning and beautiful, and the hotel is beautiful, keep your wits about you when travelling offsite, as it is not as safe as advertised.
Unfortunately, the concrete ruins at the top of Bang Niang Beach are a real eyesore. We still know this place where there was only one restaurant with a bar. Everything was still untouched there. We now avoid the area up there. There are reasons for this and it lies under the sand on the beach in the area of the two villas. The Tuk Tik Restaurant is very good, we can absolutely recommend it. The Bang Niang market is not that great, just a tourist market with corresponding prices. There are much better ones out there. I really like your video. Khao Lak is and remains a great place. There are beautiful corners. Thanks for taking me with you and greetings.
Is there a good variety with the food? I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s repetitive and they don’t serve things like bacon at breakfast (that’s a pretty standard breakfast food to me at a hotel) or much meat at dinner
We found there to be enough choice to suit us, watch our video from 11:45 and we show you the the buffet and themed restaurants, thanks for commenting 😊
Very expensive for sunbeds last year in Crete only 8 euros the comfy ones 10 euros some free if you buy a drink , never payed more then 10 euros in any greek island or Spain 😮
Love this video! Thank you. Would love to know your thoughts re. accommodation for a first timer? After watching this video, I've decided town centre stay rather than direct beach stay for easier access to all the amazing places you have showcased. Thanks in advance.
Hi, thanks for watching! The accommodation we chose to stay in was "The Waters By Katathani". We found this hotel to be located in the absolute perfect place to have access to all shops, bars, restaurants, taxi rank and also it's not too far from the beach! We understand completely why some people would prefer a beach hotel out the town as the beaches are absolutely stunning, but as you said, there's so much more to the place, so we recommend finding a hotel right in the centre that will give you the best of both worlds! Hope this helps, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday!
We picked The Waters the first time we went to Khao Lak, and enjoyed it so much we booked the same hotel again! The swim up rooms in particular were beautiful and we enjoyed many late night swims 😊 So we don't have much unfo on any other hotels unfortunately, sorry!
Thank you for your input - there are mixed reviews about this hotel but will definitely take yours into consideration. Have a great day...wherever you are🙂
This video was filmed in December 2023 😊 as for the sea, it was a little bit cold, and the waves were fairly large, but they're great fun in high season when it's warmer!
